I still like the 2017 draft better than Goff and Wentz from last year, Connor Cook was also in the mix at this time. I am impressed/surprised with how Wentz is playing and sadly accurate with Goff's talent level. The Rams emptied the refrigerator for that pick and have nothing to give hope to next year as a coming out party.
Seems like our picks of last resort turn to gold these last couple of drafts i.e. Martin and Prescott. I guess it is better to be lucky than good as we did our best to not end up with Dak as our QB choice in 2016 and Zack Martin in 2014.

There are a lot of QB needy teams. It doesn't matter if there are QBs worthy of RD1. They will be taken in RD1 nonetheless. Predicting 5 go in RD1 this year.

Maybe but you have to admit it is nice not to have to draft one this year. OTOH if somebody you like falls, jump on it. The team still needs a long term backup, hopefully one with upside.

Dak Prescott a 4th round pick out of Mississippi State may end up being the best QB in 2 drafts, think about that.

Romo's our long term (expensive) backup. We can't trade him and he isn't going to give up millions to retire, so he's the backup.

There is some interesting talent, but no clear top tier guy. Maybe Kaaya.

Could be one of those QB classes that is weak at the top but strong on day 2.
