I want to see Frazier push Wilcox off of the 53. At this point, I see Wilcox pushing himself off of the 53 more so than Frazier taking the spot. Either way I want Wilcox gone. I haven't seen much of Heath, has he been injured or something?

I agree, regardless of what these other safeties do, Wilcox doesn't deserve to be on this roster. Face facts, the experiment has failed and he's not an NFL-caliber safety. Cut your losses and get someone else in here. They don't even have to be good, they just have to be capable and technically sound, two things which Wilcox isn't and never will be.

Even picking through other teams' scraps at cut downs will yield an upgrade over Wilcox.

IIRC he has/had a concussion.

No need to rush him back in preseason. Even though it would be nice to see him out there at safety than Wilcox.

I understand what your saying but just curious who are your safeties?

I see Jones, Church and Heath as locks that leaves 1 spot for Wilcox or Frazier.

Do you have Wilcox over Frazier or just 3 safeties (which isn't a good idea)

If I had any say over personnel, I'd say that 4th spot is still up for grabs. Neither Wilcox or Frazier have done anything to actually earn that spot. That 4th spot could end being a converted corner on roster or preferably goes to someone not already on the roster (an upcoming cut or unsigned FA).

While that's possible we have seen Frasier improve from Rams game to Miami game. I think if he can make a few more plays the next 2 games he takes that 4th spot

I hope not. He's not ready this season, he should be on PS, or only playing ST. Rather have a player who is more plug and play when (and I do mean "when") he's forced to start. Frazier as a starter is not something I look forward to.

Olatoye seems like a prime candidate if that is a consideration.

Frazier wouldn't be the starter. Jones and Church are starters with heath as backup. Frazier would get some playing time but if an injury occurs heath is that plug and play starter. Sure Frazier would make some mistakes but he is a rookie with huge upside.

You can't have starters as backups across the board and I don't see Frazier making practice squad. Secondary is the least of our problems I rather save money in case Lee or DL get injuried over spending money on a 4th safety

Just my 2 cents, Frazier is not ready to contribute and this team needs better players if we want to compete this season. Heath and Church are barely average too IMO. But both lap Frazier.

Thanks for your point of view. I'm not always right but Frazier is one of my pet cats and I think you will see him improve each week. While SS needs to be upgraded that is something we can do next draft.

Frazier will have a turnover or big play in one of the next 2 games

I would love to be wrong man, believe me. In any case he has 2 more games to light it up before that decision needs to even be thought about in any event.

If only this brain trust had seen Ramsey as a pro-bowl caliber safety.

We could have paired him back there with Jones. And still have a running game to be excited about.

Shame. Shame. Shame.

So Traylor stalemating 3rd teamers in the second half gets credit but Escobar driving and turning Jones, who has started in this league, at the POA and pass protecting the selfsame gets no mention.

Once Broaddus makes up his mind he is definitely stubborn about changing it. He is basically good for first impressions. Predictions and monitoring player development seems beyond him.

This, I can't stand people that half *** their job and Broaddus is a prime example. Plus he acts like he is the smartest guy in the room and he is clearly not.

I agree Frazier needs more seasoning, but straight up would you take Wilcox over him on the 53?

I think he looks better than he really is in these games because this is his 6th year in the NFL and he is playing against 2nd and 3rd team players in the preseason. I prefer to keep Brown and Olatoya as the 4th and 5th guys and possibly McKinnon as a 6th CB is they just keep 4 Safeties.
