We'll be lucky if Seattle doesn't hang 50 on us.

We are headed for embarrassment in the Great Northwest.

There are almost 3 or 4 teams playing better then the Cowboys who deserve the spot.

WE SUCK

Unfortunately, those great teams didn't earn a spot to the championship.
Unless there is a rule where fans vote for us to just walk away we have a chance.

And is at it's most pathetic state when it has fallen and can't defend itself.

You're assuming it has limbs and teeth, Dallas does not.

weve only done bad the last strecth of games, and we could snap out of it at any time, the seahawks also lost there 2 starting CB's and a linebacker so have a little faith

I'll have faith again when I see something to have faith in. We just got beat by the freaking Detroit Lions at HOME. The 2-13 Detroit Lions. Personally, I don't think that too many of the players actually give a crap whether they win or not. If they do want to win, they sure aren't showing it on the field. Most of them look like they're ready to face the executioner rather than play a football game. Spoiled, underachieving brats, including the coaching staff. Yea, I'm just a bit pissed.

Actually, HH31, you should amend your bet.

If the Cowboys lose, you will leave the forum for a month after two days of enduring fans "I told you we sucked."

I always thought it was cowardly to predict a win and then guarantee it by banning one's self if proven wrong. That means you won't be around to respond to the negative criticism sure to come your way if the Cowboys lose.

As for this debate about "true" fans, since when did criticizing one's team and believing they'll lose mean one is not a true fan?

It simply means one's an "honest" fan.

Once is luck. (Brees)
Twice is coincidence. (Vick)
Thrice is a pattern. (Garcia)
Four times is something's seriously wrong. (Kitna)

I, like most if not all Cowboys fans, hope Dallas wins next week against Seattle.

But I'm prepared for disappointment because the way Dallas has been exposed, you just can't fix that in one week. Other teams have figured out the Cowboys.

And Hasselbeck is a far better quarterback than Garcia and Kitna. :(

The nerve of you guys to moan about negative threads after a win. How 'bout pollyannish threads after a horrible loss? That's obscene.

Exactly, I'm so sick of people trying to find a silver lining in this loss. There is none, so stop looking. We just suck right now.

What's the point? Why force myself to get all hyped up for another big game that will ultimately end in utter failure? This team that showed up today doesnt deserve to play one down in January. Yes, I know they've "clinched", but so will an 8-8 team next week. So what? We'll go play Seattle or Philly on the road, give up 300 yards passing, Romo will throw a few picks, and we'll get blown away.

This team is just incapable of showing up for games that mean everything. Even in our big wins against NY and Atlanta we played poorly for much of the game.

and there is PLENTY PLENTY more of this stuff...

Sorry, I am not buying your new "optimist" / "I am not a fairweather fan" gimmick. I have no problem with true optimism or you personally. But trying to call out your fellow posters in a ridiculously hypocritical move is just bad form.

I am definately with you HH.

We have won the last 3 games on the road and are 4-1 with Romo (only loss being a freak loss to the Commanders)

They have all been big games:

@Panthers - First start for Romo, we were 3-3 trying to avoid a losing record and we got the job done. Good win.

@Arizona - Coming off a a crazy loss against the Commanders, the Cowboys at 4-4 where in danger of letting their season go south. So we did what we were supposed to do and beat a bad team. Even though we are who they thought we were.

@Giants - I say this was the biggest win of the season. Clutch play by Romo. Great kick by Gramatica.

@Atlanta - After an embarrasing loss against the Saints, the team bounced back and beat a potential playoff team. Defense was not so great for most of the game but came up big at the end. Romo with a good game. Barber went off and so did Owens.

So as you see, the road is good for Romo. So I for one am glad that we have a road game. I just wish we had won our last game and Philly would have won theirs.

I've acknowledge this several times in this thread, and I'm not saying this team is playing suck arse football. We DID suck today, but we have the ability to NOT suck and be very, very good.

All I'm saying is, I believe beyond a shadow of adoubt we will win next week. I honestly believe that.

As for the quote after the Phgilly game, part of me does feel that way, as I've said. Part of hates this team for putting me through this and thinks we dont deserve this playoff berth. But now that we are here, I feel oddly confident.

Oh good God...Did you watch the Saints...Eagles and Lions games?

Three games AT HOME with the NFC East Crown and at one time the NFC 2nd seed at stake and we got Hammered.

Now I will be watching and thinking that the Cowboys are going to win next week...But sometimes reality has to set in.
