I am so sick of this BS quitter's attitude you guys have put forth. Yeah, we really don't deserve to be in the playoffs, but guess what? We are.

I was all for your thread until I read this... so what that we finished 9-7... we got in 2 weeks early and instead of spreading the losses around we lumped them together at the end. All teams are 0-0 at the start of the playoffs. The Giants were 2-6 in last 8 games. We are in playoffs and we deserve to be there.

Okay, now for actual reasons why I think we win other than confidence:

Hasslebeck and Alexander are both in that "iffy" stage right after coming back from injury. Neither is really in sync and, while both have played very well at times, they have also laid several eggs the last few weeks.

Their defense is very agrresive and bites a lot, allowing for the big play.

If I'm gonna be the only one to stand up and say shut up and let's hope for better days next week, then so be it. I GURANTEE that Dallas will win next week in Seattle. If we fail, I won't post here for a month. I'm that confident. I posted last week that we would win 3 straight playoff games on the road, and I am still keeping to that.

I admire your optimism. Just a little.

This team has no consistency. It has lost all the matchups of real significance: New Orleans for playoff seeding, Philly for the NFC East title; even Detroit for the possibility of salvaging a home playoff game. It ruined Christmas and New Years Eve for at least some if not most Cowboys fans.

Seattle is hardly a juggernaut, so a win is no real surprise, but what about Detroit. Explain today if you can. No matter the Boys' stats, it's now impossible to predict what will show up for the kickoff. So these guarantees are just words. The games aren't won on the message boards.

You and I can guarantee nothing except that we'll be watching the game.

If it makes you feel better to guarantee a win, more power to you. If you feel that if enough of us believe hard enough, something magical will happen, that's ok. But you can't make it happen any more than the rest of us. You won't be playing or coaching. You are entitled to believe whatever you want. Those that disagree have legitimate reasons for doing so.

I don't appreciate being called a quitter. People on this site have been talking about next year, coaching possibilities, and the draft all year long...it's not a new thing, and it has nothing to do with today's game.

Your "guarantee" is just stupid...what the heck does your guarantee mean? total BS...if we win it has nothing to do with you or any stupid guarantee that has absolutely nothing but hot air behind it. If our players guaranteed a win it would be just as stupid.

We all know we have a game left...we all know that we could win next week...heck, this defense could finally develop a backbone and ride it all the way to the SB, and we'll all be excited. But any fan who isn't disgusted with the way our team has played out the end of this season is just delusional and idiotic.

Try posting an opinion or some reasons for it without calling everyone else a quitter, without giving a 6th grade empty guarantee, and without the ridiculous "I'll not post for a month" which is pretty meaningless in the postseason...the sad thing is I think most fans feel exactly the way you do about the playoffs, but you post a goofy thread like this because we are discussing our pathetic our defense has been in the last month, which by the way, is an indesputable fact.

and despite the Lion's record, Mike Martz is still a savvy OC.

There's no excusing, apologizing, or overlooking our defensive ineptitide on third down conversions.

I'm really trying to keep from pulling a muscle laughing at your logic. Everything you say is true, but you forgot to mention one thing. We're playing worse than they are!!!!!!! If it were not for the Oakland Raiders, we would be playing the worst football in the entire NFL right now. Sure we can play better next week, but guess what. So can Seattle and they're playing at home. Just who do you think the odds favor? I think we're a more talented team than Seattle, but we're playing about as poorly as possible and our coaching staff is braindead. Seattle has a rushing game, we don't. Yes, we can win, but for someone to creat a thread guaranteeing a win proves you're extremely immature to say the least. The only thing you can guarantee is that you'll post another ridiculous statement.

I don't believe I called you a quitter, I called those who have created threads (many of which are either locked or deleted, thankfully) saying they cant wait for this season to be over, that they just dont care and cant take it anymore, or that they think we should forfeit are quitters.

And this thread has to do with my belief that we will win next week. If you or anyone else doesnt agree, that's your right to believe that.
