That is NOT the idea here.

The idea is to pass to SET UP the run. No where is he stating we need to have un-balance.

You want to have balance, but you pass to set up the run. I believe it is the most effective way to run the ball, yet you always want balance.

exactly...people like too add things in others mouths

i want too see us be so dominate in the pass game, that teams back off...and we can get those 4-6 yards a carry.....

Running too set up the pass...sucks...we have the weapons..to do the opposite

Teams that can run the ball win championships. I know the stats that winning percentage and running the ball show that's not true...but look at teams that win it. They run the ball, and play defense, not throw 50 times a game.

Not all the time... AD didn't barely cracked 60 yards rushing against Dallas last weekend. Favre just got lucky in the passing game. Dallas needs to get their offensive line together.

Here's my suggestions:

  • Draft a future starting LT and LG in the 2010 draft!
  • Find another weapon, whether via the draft or free agency who can handle KR and PR duties.
  • Find a play making FS, I don't think they'll re-sign Sensabaugh

No doubt we need a playmaker at safety. We need someone who can force turnovers. So far on defense we have Ware and Jenkins. Rat too.

Spencer is a playmaker too. More so than Rat. Just need one more in the secondary.

Still doesn't change the fact that 3 of the last 4 teams in it rely HEAVILY on their passing attacks and their QB.
the Colts sucked at running the ball this year.

the Jets are a big running team this year.

the Saints had a very good running game this season.

the Vikings have a very good running game and just the threat alone of Peterson makes it easier for the passing game.

And the Vikings use Petersen to set up the pass - via play action.

I'm Sorry, but the vikes dont have the threats we have...they dont...they have Rice.......

we Have Austin.....Witten....Roy, yes roy.....Felix..O Tree....ect ect......

we don't need Barber anymore...its time to trade him, along with a 2nd round pick for some 1 who can add another dimension

who that is..idk

the guys in bold are not really threats

Witten is damn good who had 1 big play this year and has never been a big redzone target. he's solid, catches great and will get 1st downs.

Roy is a bum

OTree looks better than that bum Roy but how can he be a threat when he only plays 3 snaps a game.

The Colts sucked running the ball.

The Jets had a good defense including shut down corner Darrelle Revis. You don't have to pass well to win, only better than the opposition.

The Saints do have a solid running game. But they also have a great passing attack.

The Vikings have an okay running attack, but haven't hit 100 yards in the last 8 games with Peterson, and he's only averaged over 4 ypc once during that span. Brett Favre is having a career year though.

The Saints do not rely "HEAVILY on their passing attack". They are a very balanced team.
