Screw You Tony Dungy !!

So much for the fans that think "Well if they need somethin like that to get up, they're not professionals."

Anyone who's played sports knows trash talkin motivates you.

Thank you Dungy.

Dungy is pretty unapologetic as a Romo hater. He's even been criticizing Romo during his past two stellar performances. Tony's QB rating for the month of December is currently 109. Eventually you have to put aside the bias and face the facts, and the fact is Tony Romo is a really, really, really good QB. You would think a former football coach would look beyond the media narratives and look at the gamefilm (or at least glance at a boxscore) and see what is going on.

Makes me think Dungy's hatred of Romo has more to do with some personal bias or bigotry ... and that's really sad, because I used to respect him and thought he was a pretty decent human being.

So you think Tony Dungy dislikes Tony Romo because he is white?

Odd.

I guess this kinda kills the idea of "Tony Dungy to Dallas" as Wade's replacement.

Romo just called him out infront of the entire press core and made him look like a huge dumb arse.

The saddest part of that is that Romo said in the post game interview with Alex Flanigan that DiCammillis played that clip for them.....

The special teams coach is the one who showed them he clip.....not our head coach.

 C'mon.

Dungy? What did Dungy say that many of you were not saying? Dallas had no chance to win this games, people predicting the Cowboy would be blown out our season was done and thread after thread of who the so called new HC would be. Dungy is no Cowboys fan and never pretended to be one and never jumped ship like so many here did.

absolutely amazing the arrogance and bias coming from Dungy. As Romo said, he was surprised to hear this coming from a coach of all people.

maybe Dungy really has crossed over as an analyst and personal savior and forget that in the NFL any game is up for grabs.

Indeed.

Embraces Mike Vick, hates Tony Romo. Weird.

Well, that's because Romo is the goldenboy who has had everything handed to him on a silver platter and Vick has had to face major adversity in his life.

And by handed everything on a silver platter, I mean being an undrafted free agent out of a Division II school who went from having to fight like a dog to even making the 53 man roster to turning himself into one of the Top 5-6 QBs in the NFL.

And by facing major adversity, I mean being the #1 pick in the draft and having the keys to a franchise handed to you and this urinating it all away by your stupid decisions and by self admittedly being "the first guy to leave the facility" when it came to football.

Odd.

I think a lot of people see the TO vs Romo saga as "Outspoken black man is made the scapegoat to protect white golden boy".

In fact, listening to Dallas radio callers all offseason, I don't think so ... I know so.

Yeah, unfortunately.

Wonder what Dungy thinks about McNabb. Wonder how he reconciles McNabb (black) versus Owens (black) and the team chose the QB.

Shocking.

Teams will choose their star QB over their star WR.

I'm sure some feel that way but as for Dungy, i never got the feeling that he felt that way about the situation. I've never felt that he sided with Owens at any time. Here is his latest take on Owens.

http://content.usatoday.com/communi...-attitude-if-you-want-to-win-a-championship/1

Former Colts coach Tony Dungy is the latest to adds words of scorn for Terrell Owens' behavior with the Buffalo Bills.

Dungy told Dan Patrick on his radio show that he feels bad for Bills coach Dick Jauron.

"You get a lot of productivity from (Owens) ... but you also get the other side of it. That's hard for a coach," Dungy told Patrick. "You can't have the me-first attitude if you want to win a championship."

NBC analyst Rodney Harrison was also critical of Owens on Wednesday when he asserted the Bills receiver is too concerned with stats and will "never" be a champion.

After Owens had a testy encounter with reporters on Sunday after he failed to catch a for the first time in 185 games, Dungy said Owens can be a major distraction. "That's hard to coach," Dungy said.

Today, the former coach and current NBC analyst added that it's OK for receivers to be unhappy with their role on the team, but those frustrations shouldn't be aired outside the team.

"You gotta bring it to me as a coach," Dungy told Patrick. "You have to do it within the framework of a team. ... Not take it out in press conferences ... reality shows."

Owens on Wednesday said he is trying not to vent his complaints through reporters and added whether he speaks to the news media or no, he's "in a no-win situation." -- Sean Leahy

give dungy a break his son killed himself last year

What does that have to do with bashing the Cowboys. If that is his excuse maybe he should be at home with his family.

could somebody fill me in on Romo calling out Dungy?

I don't have time to watch every single show/press conference/interview on TV

thanks

Tony just said that ST coach showed a video of Dungy saying that the Boys have no chance of beating the Saints this week. They used that as a motivation.

He didn't call him out, he just mentioned Dungy's words in two separate interviews after the game. During the post game presser, I believe he did sort of mumble he's surprised a former coach would say a thing like that, but I don't think he was calling him out.

What did Dungy say any worse than what has been spewed here all last week? Hell Dungy comments were mild compared to some of the garbage that was being toss around here.

Thanks Tony Dungy! Say how the Deadskins will beat us up next week. ;)

The players were surprised that was coming from a guy many people respect. I could see how that would motivate the guys. I still like Dungy and he probably won't repeat that statement again, I hope. :)
