At least that is what I would do...........either way, my guess is he's not coming back regardless of whether he gets an HC job. He only has a year left on his contract. He would be crazy to refuse another team's offer as DC if Jerry will let him out of his contract ( I think he will). They would likely call it a mutual parting of ways.........

I could see this ........remember if MM is back, he's likely a lame-duck coach. No top-tier DC is coming here unless he's out of work or Jerry gives him a 3-year contract.
