Seahawks thread

this defense hasn't stopped a elite qb yet and I don't expect Wilson to be the first one they stop if not for a bone headed play last week the cowboys would already be done

Finally, the Seahawks are getting old. No longer is this roster full of young and super-talented players the kind of team that reminded me of the 1992 Dallas Cowboys, who were the youngest and best team in the NFL 25 years ago. In fact, the 90s Cowboys and 10s Seahawks share a similar timeline with both teams peaking in the third year of a decade,

Dallas winning a Super Bowl in 1993 and Seattle taking their first in 2013. As this is 2017, it’s ironic how the 1997 Dallas Cowboys missed the playoffs for the first time since 1991 – and the Seahawks will suffer a similar fate if they lose to the Cowboys on Week 16 or the Arizona Cardinals on Week 17.

The remaining superstars on this ‘Hawks team are all pushing 30 years-old or better, aside from the injured Wagner, who’s 27. Michael Bennett is 32, Avril is 31 and is on injured reserve, Sherman is 29, Chancellor is 29, Thomas is 28 and Wilson is 29. Yes, the NFL window for contention is quite small, especially given the naturally short career for most players and also the rapid turnover of all rosters each year. This team isn’t exactly headed for retirement, but they are over-the-hill already and they won’t keep getting better. These Seahawks have peaked and are now arriving at their late-afternoon sunset...

Despite team problems, both Dallas and Seattle are starting to go different directions. With Dallas rising...

Man,that's a really good post CCB:thumbup:

well thought out&Factual:clap::starspin::clap:

Love Teddy's analysis of Sean Lee.

That was some fantastic stuff being pointed out,,,8-1
When We Got the #50 laying down the base of fire.
Ya,know? That last serious ex-girlfriend I had,has met Teddy at the tax accounting casing-liner she worked at(I had to hear all about it, to the point of envy,,& prolly a little bit of jealously tooo_O) ,,,I remember the UofA was mighty proud of him,,,and pretty sure they still are;)

I absolutely love how our defenders are attacking stiff arms. If the ball carrier puts the arm out early they grab it and yank down hard. Hard to keep balance when someone does that to you. Excellent body control from Lee to transition from that to wrapping up.

Figured one thread to discuss the upcoming game?

Seahawks team is angry and they fighting among themselves. But what is new with that?

Dallas has a lot of injuries and a couple of them at key positions. We know Tyron Smith is out. David Irvin looking doubtful. So is Hitchens.

Cowboys welcome back Zeke! Also Butler and Scandrick.

Is Zeke enough with Bell manning LT? I am worried about run and pass blocking on the left side. Bring in extra TEs to help but how much will that work? ATL killed the left side and Seattle has the talent to do the same.
More than enough. Key to game on offense should be to pound Zeke directly behind Bell to soften up that DE. Maybe add a combo blocking with Bell and Hanna. That's how I'd do it.

We’ll see about that. I think the mental toughness of the team is better than it ever was and it’s mainly because of our qb.

You have more confidence in him than me

I'm rooting for him but I just hope he don't stink out the joint at this point ☝️

We need to run to the right. This almost assuredly means Garrett will run to the left most of the game because he's smarter than everyone else and they won't see it coming.

I'm a grip and claw guy. I know no quit. Until my Boys are officially out:

I have concerns about the Cowboys pass rush. IMO Irvin is need to help chase down Wilson.
They should be able to contain him.

after that..

some sacks would help.

Marinelli is going to have his hands full.

Tackling will be priority one.

missed tackles will gash the defense.

Getting the QB or WR or RB on the ground quickly after initial catch or run is huge.

Seattle has a home field advantage because of their fans (12th man). So I guess what you are really saying is Cowboys fans suck.

Just the home game fans suck.
You can hear Cowboys fans loud and clear during their road games.
It's often mentioned in the broadcast.
Living in the DC area, I know we regularly take over the stadium against the Commanders.

If we didn't have Zeke, we'd lose straight up. With Zeke, we win by a max of 7 points.
At home or away we always do our best to keep our opponents in the game.

You're right, but you have to admit that anywhere else other than "home or away", the Boys play for blood! :D
