Both Lee and Carter started at inside linebacker in the 3-4 a couple years ago. Starting as the lone middle linebacker in a 4-3 is a completely different deal. I would keep Carter at "will" and put DeVonte Holloman at Lee's spot. Holloman was pretty good in the finale against the Eagles there.

That's not really the point. The worse part of this is the apathy that comes along with knowing we're actually worse off than we thought.
Can't build on the defense when it constantly needs retooling/replacing, even in places we may have thought were fine.
It appears we're building on a foundation of sand.

Not sure many considered the LB position "fine" though. With Q (Question Mark) Carter and most anticipating an injury at some point for Lee, it's hard to think many believed the team was set.

Lee got absolutely destroyed on that play. What was he trying to do?! Bull rush the OG?! Swim move and make the tackle, not get TRUCKED. Martin did exactly what you do on that play, crush the LBer. Hopefully he does that all season long.

Actually if you look lee plants his leg strangely and starts to go down right as Martin puts his hands on him expecting resistance. Made it look like he got wrecked but I believe the damage was done prior to even being touched

Regardless, I hope Martin keeps pancaking anyone in his path, especially come September when we'll apparently need to put up 40 a game and control the clock.

But good ol...Jerry Jones signed him to a 50mil plus contract......its the Cowboys curse.... Lee is awesome when healthy but time to face the facts.. can't keep paying guys to be on the sideline..... Lee's injury could be a big plus for the Cowboys....more time to find his replacement....everyone knew he would end up hurt, but sooner than we all expected.
???? Is the coaching philosophy responsible for the injury problems on this team????
