I like the confidence, but lets not count the chickens yet. we have two top notch offenses to deal with back to back.
Agreed. We're about to find out, real quick, how good this defense really is. The KC game is a great start! That's a very good offense.
Nah, don't agree.

With a healthy Lee, and our DL, we have a championship caliber D. Remember the Giants, 2008 and '11? Irving is a killer, and DLaw is the DPOY, fan vote or otherwise, thus far. MCollins hasn't event gotten started yet. Crawford is there. Our DL is elite this year. ELITE.

Our OL is meshing, now. It all hangs on Zeke, even with some of our WRs suffering ankles. Dak doesn't rely on any single WR.

Just be better then average haha. That's all I ask.

We have to get to the playoffs. A Rodgersless NFC is ours for the taking.

Exactly my thinking. This is the most wide open the NFC field has been in recent memory. This would be an awful year for the two back breaking losses in Sean Lee's absence to cost us a spot.

Home field doesn't matter as much this year (especially for this team that has been notoriously mediocre at home). Just get in to give yourself a chance.

As much as I like the direction the team is headed, nothing can be taken for granted. I have this slightly unsettled feeling that one of those aforementioned losses may keep us out of the playoffs. The only way we make it is via the wildcard route. And we’ve got a lot of competition.

If we can manage to keep Zeke eligible and beat a shaky Falcons team the buildup for the Eagles game will be at fever pitch.

I wish we had that Rams game back. :(

That game is hurting us so bad.

A win this week and next would be huge.

With Hitchens and Lee in this mix, the defense is a lot more reactive. Pressure on the opposing quarterback and a tough run defense. They will force some punts and give the offense some turn-overs to work from...

He accounts for 90% of the football smarts on D.
That's OK because Marinelli's defense is designed such that the LBs are the brains of the unit.

He designed it to such that the DL don't have to think as much as DL in some other schemes. By doing that it pushed more of the thinking back to the LBs.

The LBs actually have to react to what the DL are doing. For example, if the DE crashes down inside, the LB has to be aware of it and maintain outside contain.

Yeah, just don't get hurt Sean or it will be keystone cops out there again.

While Lee is a very special player and the QB of the D and losing him is a huge loss, I think a lot of fans under sale the value of Hitch being out there. They were both out of the line up when Lee was hurt. While we wouldn't be as good without Lee, as long as one of them are out there, I don't think we would be as bad as we were when both were out.
