Another game leading the team in tackles with 9, next closest is sensy with 5 and Ball with. Proving last week wasn't a fluke.

But they have to get him out of playing special teams, that's too much for him!

Problem is Brooking and James don't play special teams. Alot of people rag on Choice for not playing special teams, but these two don't either, forcing Lee to play.

Even more impressive when you consider he only played about half the defensive snaps.

The ILB position on our defense is designed for the ILB's to rack up tackles so as long as he's starting, he'll rack up those numbers but he was certainly very active.

Tackles don't tell the entire story, Spencer finished with 1 official tackle (his sack) but his impact on the game was much greater than that number suggests.

Good and bad.

Did you see that monster ST tackle? Lee is everywhere. That pick is looking better and better.

Outside of the touchdown he gave up, Spencer played a tremendous game. he was a force on the run and a legit pass rushing threat.

I noticed when it got to crunch time Lee was barking orders to his teammates. It may have been on the 49ers overtime series.

This is good. We need him to become a leader.

Underrated play when Alex Smith scrambled down the middle and Lee lunged into the play to grab his ankle and prevent another late 3rd down conversion

The game stats on TV had him with 10 tackles. Either way, He's been gold for us so far.

Spencer didn't "give up" the TD, sometimes the offense wins. They got a matchup and took advantage. Spencer knew his assignment and did what he was supposed to do, he just got beat.

The inside move on his sack was eye opening, I don't think I've ever seen him have that kind of burst off the ball.

What you said.

Boy I was wrong about Lee. He didn't look good in the 3rd preseason game because Olshanky was letting his man into the second level.

Stop that and he is a total stud

However you want to word it, he got beat by his man on that play. Nothing he could do, maybe than get a jam on the guy, and he trailed the whole play. It was a good matchup for them and they did take advantage of it. I thought Rob put Spencer in a bad situation, I'd rather him go after the QB than cover a TE.

If he got beat then he gave up the TD.

Are we giving out gold stars for effort here?

...Brooking, James and Choice shouldn't be on the TEAM if they can't play special teams....neither should Buehler. Yeah...he plays special teams, just not very well.

Lol, what's the difference Count? He got beat, or "he gave one up," I don't see much difference.
