Now whether or not the incident had anything to do with his past or not, we will never know.....but it isn't too far fetched to believe that someone from his past could have been involved.

Clearly, that is not what you were saying in the initial post of this thread.

He lived like a thug and died like a thug.

No, you can't, because you don't have a clue what those words mean.

Again, if it had been coach Joe Blow who coached one average season with your team, would he be there?

Of course not.

But because it is Lombardi, you try to co-opt him. Far from being respectful or honoring him, you dishonor him by trying to use him.

You're a damned fool idiot if you think him being there is about ANYTHING other than the Skins trying to co-opt the legacy of someone whose greatness is tied exclusively to the Packers. This is about trying to make a middling franchise seem like it is associated with greatness. It is nothing about honoring someone else.

It would be as moronic as the Jets trying to put Brett Favre in their ring of honor just because he came to collect one last paycheck there. "Look! We had the league's #1 passer of all time! We rule!"

Pathetic. And fitting for the Commanders.

You need therapy.

His stats were average at best. He was a poor employee for most of his tenure there. He had many off field issues that were a PR embarrassment for the Skins. He lived like a thug and died like a thug......and now the Skins are going to induct him into their Ring of Fame......

I have come to expect nothing less from the Racial Slurs.

I have to disagree with this post 100% and I really don't like it. You make it seem as if a man defending his home and property should be gunned in his home I expect more from you but I see I was mistaken

Personally, I don't care who the Skins put on their ring of honor. It doesn't matter to me and it shouldn't matter to any other fan of other teams but Commander fans. They could put Homie the Clown up there and I still would not care. It means nothing to the Cowboys.

That said, while Sean did have problems in his first couple years in the league, I think he was really trying to change his life around. I don't believe he was in the news for any negativity at all last season before his death. I think he was seriously growing up and his attitude was changing but never got the chance to show everybody that this was actually happening. Very tragic for him and his family.
