Sean who?

Most of us knew the LB corp would be a strength of the team this year, even if (when) Lee got hurt again. This due to the drafting of probably the best LB in the 2018 draft and the third year jump of Jaylon Smith.

I'm not sure anyone saw Jaylon playing as well as he has.

You don't.
Yah ya do. It's inevitable......wait until the second quarter, Lee gets injured, and in steps Vandy .

I love Lee, he doesn't have a football body. I hate typing that.......BTW.

I like Sean Lee as a coach. His body can't hold up, but I'm highly sure he is having a big influence on Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch. Both of these guys are looking stupendous. You don't even really miss Lee's presence on the field.

Remember last year when the D fell apart without Sean Lee leadership? Hmmm .....think we can now put that issues to bed. I know it's early, but so far this doesn't miss him at all. To be clear, I not bashing him but more proud the D has found its way with his leadership.
Can't wait for him to be back in the line-up

Lee is gravy at this point. When he's healthy, he's a valuable playmaker who improves an already good defense.

When he's not healthy, it's more reps for LVE, with Lee coaching him in between plays.

Team just needs a real free safety and the defense would be top 5 all year.

No, I'm saying, you can't take LVE off the field. Right now, LVE, Smith, Lawrence and Jones are our playmakers on defense.

How do you bring Leighton off the field when he returns is my question?

If Lee is 100% then it is a no brainer. LVE makes tackles but does not make game changing plays like Lee does. Not a knock on LVE because he has the making to be a stub LB but he is not as good as Lee and nor should anyone expect him to be in his rookie season.

You didn't read my post.

It's inevitable......I love Lee and what he brings. Can't stay healthy for a full season. That doesn't help the defense.

I can't wait until Leighton does at his size.

We all know there is no way Lee won't start if he is ready to go. LVE has done a great job but the coaching staff will roll with Lee
