Season is over if 0-2

Forte on the offensive side and Urlacher, Peppers on the defense. Other than that they don't have a lot.

I did not say they had a lot but these are still NFL player they can still hit big plays and you screw around with them or any NFL team you can lose. We can't afford to just show up and expect teams to roll over for us. You win games by executing if you fail to execute then any team out there is capable of beating you

No offense,

But, some of you Chicken Little's just need to stay away for a little bit.

The 2003 Eagles started 0-2 and went to the NFC Championship and finished the season as the number 1 seed at 12-4

So what are you talking about???????
Yes 5 teams out of 59 that started 0-2 from 2000 to 2007 made the playoffs the odds are if you go 0-2 you do not make the playoffs.I have to look up the last two years to see if the stats are better i doubt it so next week if we lose the math says we have an 8% chance of making the playoffs

Too early to talk playoffs. Atleast wait until the first month of the season is over.

Worst case scenario for next week is the Giants get 2 games ahead of us...

If we can't come back and win the division from 2 games back then we weren't worthy anyway.

It is never to early to talk playoffs if they lose next week the chances are this team will not make the playoffs plain and simple. That is how important next week is that is why he said 0-2 and this team is done. The numbers say that teams that start 0-2 tend to suck and miss the playoffs.

This team has to get it's act together and it must do it now.

I still consider that "silly talk" and feel it still a lot of season left. Now if you say that going 0-2 may mean they won't win the division or get the tp seed in the NFC then I can go along with that but not that they won't make the playoffs.

Then you do not understand the math when 92% of the teams that go 0-2 do not make the playoffs. Can they ? yes but when you go 0-2 you have put yourself in a hole that statistically says that you are hosed.

If we go 0-2 next week then I do not see the playoffs in our future the poster has it correct next week is the most important game of the year. You also realize there are 4-6 teams every year that made the playoffs the year before that miss it the next year. Anyone down playing 0-2 because a handful of teams have still made the playoffs are fooling themselves

What if they start 1-3? Then what?

Half the teams in the league are 0-1 right now. Even the mighty Peyton Manning and the Colts are 0-1. It's too early to consider doomsday scenarios like missing the playoffs at this point.

'95 Cowboys were 0-2 to start the season. When their season was over they were holding the Lombardi trophy.

Of course back then, Garrett wasn't calling the plays...

Do we have the league's all time leading rusher holding out right now???

Didnt think so.

It won't be over, but I'll start trying to figure out where Hostile is going to take me out to lunch.

Then we can start dicussing who is going to win a Lombardi in our stadium, it clearly wont be us.

Seriously, have you looked at our schedule?? If we lose to teams like the Skins, Bears, Houston, Titans, ect........what the hell do you think is going to happend when we go on the road to Green Bay, to Minny, to Indy, to New York, ect....

If we start 1-3, we will be dam lucky to get back to .500 for the season.

Not sure why you feel the Texans and Titans are easy games because they are both solid teams.

With this schedule, we can not afford to lose these road games to really bad teams like the Commanders. We have Houston, Minn, Indy, Houston and then NY and Philly. And GB. We needed that game to maybe have one to spare later.

And we need to hold serve at home, no matter who we playing.

Given our schedule, it would be very, very, very difficult to make the playoffs.

But if Jerry just follows my plan... :)
We could string together a long winning streak.

It's not how you start, it's how you finish.

There was a team a few years back that finished hot and won the SB, the Giants, remember?

Still an enormous amount of time to adjust, tweak, and tinker.

Don't let the schedule scare you, especially if you are basing it off last seasons results.
