It is getting close to that time when we find out if the boys start on the road and end on the road. I know from past threads there are formulas that appease some but count me in as one that would like to see this team start and finish at home for a change. It's bad enough they have to play in KC again this year...I know there is a formula for that as well...would be nice to start and finish it has been quite some time.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind seeing this defense strangle someone's arse on the road. That would be a season opener.:starspin

16 games 8 at home 8 on the road how they set it up makes little differance to me. Hell I just want us to start winning the vast majority of games at home.

Im interested to see which ones are home or away. This years schedule is rough.

I like our misfortune/how we got stiffed with the third place booby prize of getting to play the Saints. Does even one person in the country actually think that the Saints with Sean Payton back will be easier than the freaking Panthers?

No issue with playing the saints. Yes it is a tough game but if this team has any intentions of making post season they will have to play quality football if they do that then we will win more than we lose no matter who is on the schedule.

I would like to at least see them end at home for a change. Hopefully they'll have the divsion loicked up by then! lol If not, it would be nice to have that game at home.

I agree winning is the one ulitmate goal but my point is would be nice to open at home and close at home for a change. Just does not work out in their favor like that very often.

Only once in the last seven years has the Cowboys opened the season at home

Every team gets to make special requests and we've traded off on opening at home for playing Thanksgiving

Completely agree. No crying about the schedule. It is hard but if we are a playoff caliber team, then we need to act like it. If not, it is time to re-build.

Yup. No crying about it.. heck we went and beat the super bowl champ last year.

We seem to do better on the road anyway, don't know if that is a fact or not, but we do not play well at home. Not much of a home field advantage in the new stadium.

Our record is better at home, but we did play a few good games on the road last year.

That sounds nice on paper but is utterly meaningless. All that matters is getting in and if it comes down to it I'll take getting in by beating every cream puff on the schedule than sitting at home with a nice résumé. The 2007 Giants didn't look very playoff worthy with regular season losses to the Packers, Patriots, and Cowboys TWICE. Yet those were the three final teams they beat on the way to being champs. Macho posturing is stupid, give me the Panthers.

game 1 on the road is in our advantage.

Unlike weeks 2-17, a road game does not really lessen the amount of practice time you have preparing for the game.

An owner might say they really want a 1PM home opener as opposed to a night game. One might say they want Week 3 on the road so they can have U2 come play at their stadium that night. The Cowboys special schedule request is we get to host a game on Thanksgiving on 4 days rest, which is why Jerry isn't fighting to open at home on the flip side.
