By the time we decide to flip the switch it may be to late.

Fans here use to say this team is full of losers, and I use to shake my head. Now I see what they mean.

This ship is sinking, and taking on water fast.....Romo is damn near retirement, we maybe have 2-3 more good years left with him.

This "ah man, there is still many more games still left to be played" mentality that guys like Ware and Witten drag around is pathetic. We need to play with urgency, and a cut throat mentality.

What do we have to lose? We tried being the nice, calm, roses are always red and sweet type of team for how many years now?

Time to panic, and get on a war path is now.

This team doesnt have the horses on defense, or the coaches on offense, to be better than a somewhat entertaining 8 and 8 team.

I hate to say it but I think your right.

I think the turning point was our opportunity to get a nice hard fought win on the road to take a commanding lead in the NFC East yesterday and true to form, and you can say whatever reason you want, we came up short - yet again.

IMO and FWIW - we will not get to our ultimate goal with this coaching staff. RM is the only coach on this staff that is worth anything.

I don't think that morale is going to be a problem with this team; they simply aren't good enough, personnel-wise, to rise above the rest of the pack.

This is the kind of loss that can make or break a football team. They can rally around each other and play with a purpose, or surrender to doubting and whispering about each other and fall apart.

Or, they can be the same and continue their mediocrity to an 8-8 or 7-9 season, make a few nice sound-bites and then take a vacation.

In 1970, week 9 of the regular season the Cowboys got humiliated 38-0 by the Cardinals on Monday Night Football. It was the catalyst that brought them together as a team. They didn't lose another regular season game and only lost to the Colts in the Superbowl on a last play field goal. The next season they only lost three games on the way to their first Lombardi Trophy. (with that said, that defense had several all-pros and a few hall of famers, but had they not turned that season around, they might not be hall of famers now.)

The next game is at home against the Vikings. If they lose to the Vikings I think it will tell us that they have surrendered. Unfortunately, as bad as the Vikings have been, I think a narrow victory tells us the same thing. I think they need to blow-out the Vikings to have a reasonable chance of a "successful season."

Ha and to think that I actually remember that game. That team was infinitely better than our current one. They had a DL and OL that could actually function as a unit. This current team has just never been able to get over the hump no matter who we have brought in. It's simply amazing to me that after all these years we are still no better than we have been in the past. Look at how the Chiefs defense is functioning, they actually win games for that team. We on the other hand keep treading water.

I think they win next week, then lose to the Saints.

The Giant game on 11/17 is the biggest game. Win, and they can bury the Giants and position themselves to win the division. Lose, and it's anyone's division to win.

I suppose winning the division is what everyone is clinging to right now.

It is clear to see that regardless if this team makes the postseason it is too undermanned to do that much.

The worst part about making the postseason is that it will put a glossy shine on a very average season and delude Jones & Co. that things are alright.

Turning point? Nope. Not in my opinion. I have not heard any interviews from players or coaches after the game. But I bet I can nail some of what was said....

We have to get better...
Gotta go back to work....
We did some good things out there...
We'll get this turned around...
Everyone is battlin.....

Dez aside, the rest of the team is taking on the persona of the head coach.

Every team takes on the persona of the hc whether good or bad, sooner or later Dez will be infected to.

Look, I have zero expectations for this team. They are .500 for a reason.

All I am doing is stating the facts. The Giant game will decide the Cowboys season. If they lose, I think they end up 7-9 or worse. If they win, then it will be very difficult for them not to win the division.

Either way, if they make the postseason, they won't be around for long.

That is what is so disturbing right now. This is one going to be tough to bounce back from. I can honestly say this is a loss that I cannot even bring myself to get angry about because it was so deflating. It was just so--Cowboys. That was Cowboys football, sad to say it.
