if true, I'm not exactly sure I agree that he deserved another year. Seattle was pretty damn bad.

i am reporting seattle fired jim mora. should've given the man another year. decimated by injuries, gm quits. 4 minutes ago from txt

sorry mods move if possible

I'm betting it half had to do with how he called out the kicker AND THEN the extremely poor play.

Bet it was hard going from a professional like Holmgren to Mora.

I thought they wiuld give him a pass for a year. I really like his fire on the sidelines. It's just a totally bad situation right now in Seattle.

I didn't see it coming either. Wasn't this his dream job?

Yeah, that and Washington.

And he wont be getting that job until Sarkisian leaves to replace Pete Carroll

Would he even have head coaching jobs if his last name was not Mora? I am not serious about that, but I have never understood why he was sought out to be a head coach. I didn't think he was much of a DC at San Fran before getting the Atlanta head gig. Those 49ers teams were average at best while he was their DC. Mike Zimmer did as good a job as DC in Dallas over that same time frame and no one went seeking him out to be the head coach.

A friend of mine told me twice in the past two weeks that he thought Mora was in trouble. He was right.

We were discussing possible openings that would interest Jason Garrett.

We'll see.

Thats my concern, that they'll be calling Garrett. And unlike a few of these other jobs, I could see him potentially interested in that one.

Agreed, my first though re: Mora was that Seattle would be a good spot for Garrett. Both sides would probably be interested.

I would keep an eye on his staff, especially Mike Solari who Wade Phillips wanted as his offensive line coach but was overruled by Jerry Jones. If Houck decides to retire and Phillips is retained, he would be a logical choice.

They really have had injuries up the wazoo and Hass has looked terrible when he's been in.

I can't see the logic behind firing Mora at this juncture.

Supposedly Seattle will be going after Pete Caroll

Yep, I've seen a couple of different people from ESPN (including Mortensen) say that's the guy. He said there's mutual interest.

I think Carroll feels the NCAA posse breathing down his neck.
