Seattle vs Philly

I actually think our best shot at playoffs is still the wild card because another loss won't knock us out of that. Seattle has a brutal finish for a team with little offense. 10-6 or 11-5 can still make the wild card and possibly an easier first round game. Down deep, I want to win out and take the division, but winning out and Philly losing today and next week may be the only way to win the division.

I see tonight's game as a win-win. I think we can more easily win the wild card spot with a Seattle loss, but I also can't ever pull for Philly to win. The 10 days helps us but is no real advantage. After Thanksgiving, we had 7 days, a game, and now 10 days. Philly had 8 days, a game, and will have 9 days...a wash.

Confusing times when it comes to other teams in the playoff picture, but a great time to be a Cowboys fan! Whatever happens down the stretch and into playoffs, this season provides hope that addressing the defense in offseason could make next season very special.

Side note---personally, I've decided resigning Murray is more important to me than Dez, though neither is going anywhere next season.

I am keeping an eye on Arizona just as much as the Eagles. Aside from taking the division, Dallas' hopes for the postseason hinge on how Arizona finishes. Thanks Weeden.

Stone cold lock - Seahawks over Eagles.

It's a forgone conclusion.

Did I have a weird dream last night? I swore I saw that there was a Friday game with Philly and Seattle, but on ESPN, it still shows Sunday....maybe my cold meds messed me up on that...sorry.

Unfortunately, that doesn't help our situation as the Iggles own the tie-breaker. We still need to beat them next week.

Our best shot at the playoffs is the WC. We need the Iggles to beat the C-hoks. Then we try to take care of bidness next week.

I think our best shot is the division. We can go a game up next week with a win. The Eagles aren't beating the Seahawks.

I think the Cowboys will win that game too. Revenge.

I am also watching the Lions to see how they finish.
They have slowed down a lot since the start. Kind of like the Cowboys.
We just need to win 2 of 3 and fate will have us in the playoffs.

It does make me sick they are still showing Carolina has a shot at the playoffs.
And New Orleans.. :(

We only need to pull for a Seattle win if we think we can win out. If we don't win out, we stand very little chance of winning the East. Philly's last two games are against the Giants and Skins. I don't see either having a chance beating the Eagles. So, we need to win out in order to have a better record than Philly (assuming a Philly loss against Seattle). Otherwise, we'd be better off with a Philly win over Seattle and trying to get a wildcard.

The way the schedule fell for the Lions pretty much makes it a foregone conclusion they make the playoffs. Drawing Minnesota and Tampa Bay is about as easy as it comes, almost as easy as the Eagles getting their two teams that have quit.

We have no shot at the division if the Eagles beat Seattle IMO, even if we win in Philly next week.

Unless you think they will then drop a game to the Giants or Skins.

I fully expect Sanchize to get hurt on Sunday, and the Iggles will drop their last 4.
