Second-year NFL players poised for breakout seasons - Guyton is one

Looking at Guyton's body type, he looks to be overly frail for one who plays DE. I'm not confident he'll ever have the upper body strength to be a real force vs. the run. I'll likely be fairly satisfied if he's just about average in that department.

His arms look average for a WR, not a DE. As far as his pass rush capabilities, he might actually be passable, although, that remains to be seen. Let's hope he keeps working tirelessly on his weight training, as has been reported in the offseason.

Lane Johnson is 6'7", Jordan Mailata is 6'8". Johnson only played RT for one year in college and we know Mailata never played American football, yet they "got it." I think Guyton has talent but was poorly coached last year. I never liked Solari. I expect our line to be better this year because I believe the line will have better coaching.

Evan Neal just stinks. Guyton would pile drive him into the ground.
Mailata was drafted in 2018 and didn't play much until the 2020 season, and then was named the started left tackle in 2021. Admittedly having never played football he had a ton to learn (more than Guyton), but still, the Eagles didn't just toss him in unprepared. It was 3 full years of practice squad and some game time before he got his turn at left tackle. Coaching and patience can go a. long way.

You reap what you sow. Accountability.
If I wasn't nice and tried to avoid name calling, you'd reap what you sow.

That the moderators continually allow you to get away with using that word is hard to understand. If other posters resorted to insults, which is how you are wielding that word, I don't believe it would be tolerated.

I'm confused. Guyton is our left tackle.

It can take time, and hopefully he'll get there.

Not use to being held accountable huh? You hate on everything just about every day. So you’re a hater. It’s just what it is. I understand you don’t like the label but you reap what you sow.

should never have been expected to come out of the box shining like Zach and company. He simply had too little experience in college; too raw.
Totally stupid to throw him into the fire like he was and expect him to excel
actually should not have had him starting.
Pretty sure the original plan was to start Edoga the first part of the season until he got hurt and on IR.
Later in the season they recognized that Guyton was starting to blow up mentally a bit so they finished with Edoga!

I consider this harassment ... and blatantly untrue.

I don't care about your attempts to hold me accountable since you mean nothing to me. I just get tired of the hater label you throw around and don't think it should be tolerated on a board where we are all Cowboys fans even if we show it in different ways.

It's not just that insult, though. I don't think any insults should be allowed. We're here to discuss the team not get into a back-and-forth like we've done about your name calling.

It’s not an insult. It’s what you do. Sorry.

Guyton plays LT.

And insulting is what you do. I'm going to quit this conversation because it's going nowhere. Have fun with your hater name-calling, you jerk.
