I showed you comparing a situation in which Jerry could lose his franchise the way Sterling did.

That is what I did. The links are there for you and others to read, RXP

You denied it, I supplied it
Come back yo me when you learn how to read.

You are showing your complete lack of reading comprehension.

Someone asked how it is possible to force a sale of a team. Myself, and others, said the way the NBA, forced the Clippers sale. When Sterling was found to have behaved in conduct detrimental to the league, he was forced to sell.

So you immediately come to the conclusion that I'm comparing Donald Sterling with Jerry Jones. Which is beyond stupid.

The fact is that all entities that are franchise based, be it the NFL, NBA, McDonalds, Krispy Creme, Lowes or any other company you can think of will have language within it's corporate structure in which a franchise owner can lose their franchise if certain criteria are met. Such as the McDonalds example I gave. If I own a McDonald's I can only sell products that other McDonalds franchises can sell and that are approved by the parent corporation. I can sell nothing else without the parent company's permission. This should not need explaining. It is a very simple concept.

Has Jerry Jones met the criteria to lose his franchise? Of course not.
Will Jerry Jones lose the franchise? Of course not.
Is the Jerry Jones situation anything like the Sterling situation? Of course not.

The only person who compared Sterling with Jerry Jones is you.
In this post you compare the two, for all this is holy. Bolded it for you, love. Nuance. You're sadly missing it.

Sterling's and Jerry's behavior are completely different. THIS THREAD.

Wowza.

I posted links, RXP. You compared their situations. It's in the links of post 34. Shall I post more?

You're out of your element, Bichon
Look at my post about 5 posts above yours I just quoted here.

Read it 10 or 12 times. 15 times. Maybe you will get it.

Or maybe not.

I was hoping you'd post in here, YR. You were one of the first to shoot down these crazy comparisons between the two. We've had our differences, but thanks, man

It's part of the reason why I'm just about done with football. People let their football fandom get in the way of their logic. Jerry is being completely wronged here. Just like EE was completely wronged. But too many moronic fans from other teams simply don't care because their image of Jerry is set in their mind.

Jerry = bad.

But, by letting their fandom get in the way they don't realize the impact this will have on the game. In EE's case, it is open season for women to extort players. And in the case of Jerry, the game will fall hard if they were to attempt to force him out of ownership. Not only would they lose all that money and the guidance Jerry has provided, but it's going to be very unappealing to wealthy businessmen to want to be an owner of a team if they can force you out of the league for merely disagreeing with what Mara, Rooney, Kraft and Blank have to say.

But, keep ignoring it and watch your game crumble into a cesspool of half filled stadiums more commercials to make up for the lost revenue and more corruption. I won't have anything to do with it by then.

I'm right there with you, YR. I'm disgusted by the way the league is going. And I'm that "coveted 25-34" demo. If they lose us, the league will get less viewers than baseball, and, eventually hockey.

As a diehard MLB and NHL fan, this stings a bit less, but there are many who live for the NFL, only.

You're a sad shill for the league.

Go run to your corner when you get destroyed in a thread. You have yet to address the links or the bolded I represented.

I think Jerry is very well respected as a skilled businessman among the owners. His key role in getting the most out of the TV networks is notable among them. Other owners e.g. Kroenke's LA move, have also used Jerry to get good financial deals.

However, Im not sure that he's best buddies on a social level with many, especially the older traditional families.

Jerry Jones:

A players owner. Supporter of minorities. Grew the league (to include recent moves of STL to LA with full ownership backing). A, at one point, full supporter of Goodell and part of the inner-circle of owners. THE inner circle of owners (and he may still be, for all we know).

A jet-setter, three time winner (2 decades ago, not withstanding). Never a boon for the league until very recently. A man who brokered billions fist over fist for the league, not Tagliabue or Goodell, but Jerry. A showman, sure, a damned good one. A horrid GM, sure, but when it comes to the league and it's ownership, they could give two direwolf poops.

An ultimate owner who owns the most lucrative AND largest net worth franchise in the world. THE WORLD.

I am not a fan of Jerry the GM, I have been incredibly outspoken about it in my short time here. But he is a fantastic owner for the league.

Donald Sterling
:

Owner recorded saying the "N" word multiple times, critiquing his GF for inviting Magic Johnson to games (calling him a "N" repeatedly), and using the "N" in reference to fans. Senile, hated by the league for 3 decades, and considered a pariah for not putting any money into his team, only to cash out. But most of all, known league-wide as a racist.

Once the tape leaked between his GF and him (illegally recorded, but released nonetheless after GF sold it to TMZ once she didn't get her demands), his players were taking off their jerseys before games and threatened to not play. And this is when the Clippers were good, in liberal LA.

Nothing like the Jerry vs. Goodell dealio. Any comparison is nonsense. Lazy.

His wife forced the sale, not the NBA, and he got a record $3 Billion, which resulted in him dropping his lawsuit against the NBA.

His shadiness goes back to years and years of owning shab apartments and the "look" of taking advantage of minorities (how he acquired his initial wealth to buy the Clippers).

This is nothing like the JJ situation. Nothing. Sterling did **** all for the NBA other than cause fissures and squeeze all he could from it.

Jerry Jones and the Jones ownership is going nowhere, and it's absurd to think these two share any similarities. Go ahead and point and laugh when these two are brought up in the same sentence by posters on this board.

This thread was made to squash the comparisons of these two polar opposite owners, and all the comparisons I've seen recently. Truly pathetic slap-assing going around when these two are brought up. They couldn't be further entities from one another.

It is so lazy. Some reporter says "the league is going to take the team from Jerry" and now we have some puppies pooping nonsense about Jerry and Sterling. Yip it!

These two are polar opposites. Don't be lazy.
Well said indeed my friend !!!:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

You obviously are aware that this whole non- existent conflagration pertaining to the ouster of JERRY fall under section 8,subsection *xyz* of the NFL'S holy scrolls,,, the GLARINGLY DAMNING
" UP theCOOLIO "COUNTER BATTERY CASING-LINER IN JJ's vast arsenal lies in SECTION #1 which is by its virtue of holy scrollness, is of much more importance as it dictates as to the qualities, integrities and impeccable presentation that the chosen league's commissioner shall possess & EXHIBITo_O

Goodell& co. might be lucky Stowing away on a tramp steamer heading to the south China seas before this ends in scorched earth war:rolleyes:

That's why it hurts me so much. The only other sport I really follow is college basketball. I watch some college football but I don't follow the NBA or NHL at all. And I usually only watch MLB during the WS. The NFL has been my #1 sport for years. I lived and died with the Cowboys for years. And now I'm down to just watching Cowboy games for 3 hours a week. Don't even watch any pre-game shows which I used to OD on. I just turn on the channel when the game starts. I get all my football news right here.

When they lose viewers like you (folks who tune into the NFL almost solely), PA, they will feel the wrath, brother. They need you, and they better adjust

If you are not 18-34 no one cares. Politicians, TV, Movies, Sports, retailers; none of them care about anyone OLDER. HUGE mistake but they are blind to it
