Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said the team will make a hefty contract offer in order to re-sign impending free-agent OG Ben Grubbs. The Ravens are currently in negotiations with Grubbs. "We're in negotiations of offering a lot of money. We would like for Ben and (right guard) Marshall (Yanda) to be the two anchors of our offensive line going forward," Harbaugh said. "Two guards who are as good as any guards in the league, and we'd like to pay Ben as such."


I still would prefer to pick up a quality Center in FA and draft DeCastro for OG. I think with the money saved on a quality OC instead of a OG in FA, some of the savings can be used to get a good Safety, CB, and ILB. Maybe we can get a DE as well to replace Coleman.

It makes sense. The guy is one of the better young Gs in the league and he'll probably come cheaper than Nicks would.

cowboys have shown no interest in Nicks; possibly because he is more of the Hudson Houck mold of hulking O linemen; the boys and Red Ball seem to like smaller more agile players. Another reason I doubt we go after Glenn if we do not get DeCastro

I really don't think it is a size issue that Dallas has . I think Garrett likes big linemen , but he wants them to be able to move . It is rumored that they really like Glenn , and he is a big guy that can move . Last year , they were rumored to like Marcus Cannon , until he came down with cancer . He was big and could move as well . It just takes better scouting to find the big guys that can move .
