Obviously, we aren't going after him, but what is so great about this kid? He seems to be pretty good overall, but not a #1 or #2 QB prospect. What makes him special?

im probably his biggest fan thats a DC fan.

Several things...but most important: He runs his offense.

Most college QB's dont run their own offense. Teddy does. This translates to making a big impact, quickly, in the nfl. One of the most recent drafted QB's who ran their own offense was Andrew Luck.

He's able to run but is not run first.

He is SHIFTY in the pocket and can make people miss with ease.

He still sees down field when under pressure. Remarkable vision.

He trusts his receivers.

He throws to where typically only his receivers can get.

Watch some of his highlight vid's:

I think his only real knock is...he is a little light...but I think that is easily corrected.

He has the arm to make every throw, above average foot quickness, and he's a student of the game. And possibly most importantly, he ran what was pretty close to a pro style offense at Louisville. He's proven over and over again that he can stand in the pocket, read a defense, and make the smart decision. He may not be a Andrew Luck type of QB prospect, but I'd be very surprised if he doesn't have a 10+ year career as a starting QB with at least a few playoff wins.

He can definitely throw the ball on a rope, that's for sure. Throws guys open, fits balls in tight windows, and has one of the nicest fade throws I've seen in a while. Smart player, like someone else said has pretty impeccable pocket presence, great footwork, keeps his eyes downfield even when scrambling under pressure.

Lots of good qualities you need in today's NFL.

He just looks so frail. Is he going to put on some weight or stay at 200? I would be worried about him taking hits from NFL D-Lineman.

Dude has amazing accuracy. And like casmith07 said he has a beautiful fade pass. My one concern with his game is his slightly happy feet in the pocket, he sometimes feels pressure that's not actually there yet - but that can be overcome with coaching and practice. If he were to somehow fall to us I'd take him everyday all day, no question.

Bridgewater is an outstanding college QB. He has everything you want in a Q: leadership, tough, strong arm, accurate, mobile ran a pro style offense, and has very good anticipation. The only knock on him is that he is a little skinny. I don't really buy that as a huge knock because the guy can gain weight and he doesn't really scramble all that much. I would take him in a heart beat if we had a top 5 pick.

i know people hate it...but if we can trade up to get him, i would sacrifice a guy or two on defense to have him easily

Basically just rehashing what was already said. His greatest assets are decision making/poise, arm talent (particularly having an uncanny knack for understanding touch and throwing his WRs open), and the athletic ability to extend plays. He's very similar to Andrew Luck.

Draft breakdown compared him to Aaron Rodgers coming out of Cal....not alarming at all. I'd love to have him.

Watch the tape. Dude is a natural at QB.

I was at the Louisville/Rutgers Big East finale in 2012, winner goes to a BCS bowl. Road game for all the marbles, crowd going crazy, and he never flinched. Kid was unflappable. Went 20-28 (3 of them were throwaways, 2 were drops, 1 for TD I might add) 2 TDs and 1 interception (receiver tipped the ball in the air) I was in awe. He was so poise all game, even when down 11.

It wasn't until after the game that I found out that he had a sprained right ankle, and a broken left wrist! And he didn't take any practice snaps that week! Needless to say, I became a huge fan. Bridgewater is a gamer, in every sense of the word.

I failed to mention that in that game, because of his broken left wrist, he took all of the snaps in shotgun. Amazing when the defense KNOWS your gonna throw it and you still shred them up.

And this was 2012 season when Rutgers D was top 10 in the nation and their secondary featured a couple of 3rd round picks at safety and corner.

he has everything to be the best qb drafted in the last 10 years. if it transfers to the nfl like i expect, you better watch out. ANYONE that takes ANY qb over bridgewater is straight stooooopid between the ears.
