He will never be DeMarcus Ware. He is a good pass rusher and probably has more power than Ware, but he isn't half the run stuffer or pass coverage guy Ware is.

Orakpo is going to be very, very good. I was really bummed to see him go to a division rival much less the damn Commanders.

If he'll be Ware, I have no clue, but he's got the ability to be just as good, sure.

He doesn't have the hip movement, lateral movement, or ability to change directions as quickly as Ware does. Orakpo is big, strong, and has straight line speed that allows him to rush off the edge, but thats where the similarities end.

On a sidenote. Mike Sellars is the most useless football player that I've ever seen. I've never seen a big guy such as him go down so easily. His size is supposed to present such a match-up nightmare in short-yardage situations. Yet he sucks in that role. He doesn't bowl anyone over or get tough yards.

I like Orakpo and think he is a heck of a player. Having said that, let's let him prove that he is worthy of being in the same sentence as 94.

Ware has done it over a period of time and has done it against the best in the league. Orakpo has a lot to prove.

It isn't only about pass rushing, its coverage and playing the run. Neither of which do I think that he does well, hence why the Cowboys went after him in those areas all game long.

Orapo can not cover like Ware. But he does not have to. Commanders have speed at Safety and use that to allow Orakpo to go after the QB most of the time. A team with a good pass protecting OL would eat them up. You have to make Orakpo do something else other than rush the passer....if you make him cover...he will be exposed.

To me, it's his play against the run that makes Ware so good. It's not that he's just a great pass-rusher. He's one of the best pass-rushers, yes. But his most eye-popping plays come against the run. He looks like a man amongst boys on the field, just bigger, stronger and faster than everyone else. Anyone else remember him chasing down Reggie Bush from behind?

In any given year, there may be a better pass-rusher than Ware, but few, if any, will ever have the complete package that he has. He's one of those once in a generation players.
