Dak in ATL would make them very good quick. I can see that. But Jerry won't try. He's dug in to stupid

What else would you suggest giving to Atlanta to take on the final year of his contract? The moment the Cowboys indicate they are willing to move on teams will just wait for him to be cut and acquire him for no compensation to Dallas. Jerry would have to give up something in addition to Dak to entice Atlanta to take on Prescott and his existing deal. Not to mention, this can only be done with Dak’s expressed consent.

It would be asinine to extend this loser, knowing what everyone knows with 100% certainty....that MM will be gone this time next year. If you were any top HC candidate, why would you want to come here knowing that you were locked into Dak for the next 4-5 years....extending him, would be a total recipe for disaster for both a coaching search and the future of the program.

This place is going to be bonkers when Dak's extension is announced. It's coming whether we like it or not.
Yea,it’s amazing these fans don’t see that.

The Cowboy$ don’t operate like other teams. Dakster is a cash cow and like a warm blanket for Jethro .

Shoot, he can sell the hell out of 12-5. What he doesn’t want is 5-11 and have to start over.

“if we pay this bum stupid scrub qb $60,000,000 a year imagine what we will pay some one who is actually good at their job!!!!!”
Pennies, and that's why we NEVER get any free agents worth anything!!

Again in reality, what's Jerry's incentive? Hes 81, and being Jerry, the self-gratifying man he is, thinks its about HIM and his timeline. What he fails miserably to realize is this is much bigger than him. This is about everyone vested into this team since its inception. Hes being selfish and has a narrow view. Thats why change is a curse word to him. Status quo is easier for him. If we happen to win a playoff game or 2 in the meantime, its all gravy. There is no plan A.B or C. Plan A is the same as B and C. Its all on Dak. We saw this in the playoff game. All the real money is tied up into Dak. Everything else is patchwork on the cheap and it showed. Expect the same next year.

Tell him he's a 2nd Team All Pro and he's managed to quarterback teams to the playoffs under Jerry's watch. Has to mean something.

I’m all for selling Dak. How much can we get for him. As far as a new contract, he is not worth what he gets now. How can anyone justify an increase.

MM and Dak will both be here for a few years Jerry won’t fire anyone. Look how long he kept JG around

You are correct, what’s really sad is he was close to if not the worst QB in the playoffs this year. Goff leading his 2nd team to the CCG but folks here say he’s garbage.
dak is no Goff, he's Brent Hundley.
