And that's Zimmer's fault.

Yes it is. We had the same problem before BP arrived and guess who our DC was then. Yep is was Zimmy.

This will not be a big blitz team... it just won't. But I will say that I don't want to see another "Jacksonville" where on 1st and 2nd downs the QB can just take his drop and have all the time in the world to select a receiver.

You and me both Mr Winicki....

The heat you seek was LT and its yet to be proven that Ware has that moxie but he does show promise.

Maybe he should ask Romo if he can borrow some.

I would love to see a little Dick LeBeau 3/4 D thrown into the playbook. ;)

I strongly believe he could turn our D into a top 3 (if not #1) D in the league that would be feared as a ball hawking, QB sacking, turnover forcing unit that it should be. The pressure we would apply to opposing offenses every play would simply be a thing of beauty to watch.

I have and will always enjoy watching an attacking D. Never let the QB get comfortable......have the sucker ducking even when he's drinking his Gatoraide...:D

Watching a QB shake his head while he heads for the sideline after another 3 and out with that dazed look on his face is just priceless.

Against Washington dallas Blitz during the whole GAme!.

why do you think they couldnt convert in 3rd down? Dallas was bringing the house in almost every 3rd down.

Dont expect much of that against teh Titans though. it was to clear and obvious, the Titans will be looking to counter it...So I say this game w Blitz less but bring it back for the Philly game.

I sit week after week and wonder this...
One would think since our DB's are older/better now then we should be sending alot more blitz packages at these slow sorry @$$ QB's...
What's wrong, why aren't we "Hollin" like we did the year when we made the playoffs and loss to Carolina..?

Blitzing is a risky strategy. Look at how many times teams who blitz end up getting a big play scored on them. If the regular defensive scheme can contain, then blitzing doesn't add much more, other than stats, but stats for both sides.

exactly right he would make our D just a thing of beauty. We would give up low yardage, many sacks, and many TO's. And we wouldnt play so much damn prevent D in the 4 quarter that would allow the other team to come back against us like Zimmer does. Instead we are stuck with Zimmer... :(

Whats everyone's difinition of a blitz? I consider a blitz sending of more men they have blockers. Sending 5 isn't a blitz, sending 6 or 7 is

Zimmer doesn't still have a job because he's telling his players to run into each other and fall down. He has a job because he's a hell of a DC. It's the players fault if they don't execute correctly.

Any player who dose not start in a 3 point stance that rushes the passer is blitzing.
