The more I watch, the more I believe there is no way that Alabama tight end O.J. Howard gets to the Cowboys at No. 28. His ability to get down the field in routes is comparable to Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen up in Carolina, and that makes him a difficult guy to defend. Watching him play live in these practices just confirms his ability

This will make some people around here happy.

4. I thought UConn safety Obi Melifonwu was outstanding on Wednesday. At 6-foot-4, 219 pounds, the way he was running around out on the field caught my eye. I've heard he's going to test off the charts at the NFL Scouting Combine. -- Daniel Jeremiah

One that let the day get away: Kansas State DE Jordan Willis (6’3″, 255 lbs)

Willis has gotten mixed reviews this week thus far, but I did not see the appeal from an evaluation standpoint. Willis came across in pass rush reps as very limited and rigid; he did not possess the mobility throughout his frame to turn the corner. In comparison to his contemporaries, I came away underwhelmed from his opportunities to win in one-on-one situations and am skeptical of his ability to win as a boundary rusher.

The one guy I don't want anything to do with on draft day.

He moves like a gazelle. I want to see some game film and see if he's physical or what scouts like to call "big and pretty"

Dalvin Tomlinson

Tues: Tomlinson surprised me. He plays with great pad level, leverage and quickness. He flashed power and won out during a number of one-on-ones.

Wed: Similar to Tuesday, Tomlinson was explosive and powerful. He didn’t make many plays but he’s impossible to move off the point.

I want this kid so bad

That's some good speed - would like to see where he ends up on draft boards.

Cowboy legacy. Robert Jones is his father.

Zay had w new WR coach this year...I think...may have been 2015...anywho the guy came from the Dolphins and challenged Zay to learn 4-5 WR positions and he did. Said its the first time any WR has done that with him. However, when I watch him it sure seems like all his routes are 0-5 yards.

I was tail gating with Jones and others when tne Pirates were in Houston about 10 years ago. He brought his little son, who was maybe 11-12 years old.
A buddy of mine also had a son about his age and they played catch for about an hour. A few of us grown ups would step in every once in awhile.
Lol. So I played catch with Zay when he was in about 6th grade or so.
He went by Isiah back then

From what i have seen he is not the knock u out type hitter even though he has the size and strength too. Hes a high character and high moral person. If you want a big safety that will attempt to cause a fumble with every tackle then we should want Nate Gerry out of Nebraska. Hes gotten in trouble a few times for targeting but he goes for the big hit just about every time. Has gotten a good amount of interceptions as well with 13 combine the last 3 seasons.

That is a football playing dude. Let's make it a Nebraska defensive player 3 years in a row.

One of my favorite safeties in this years draft. I don't think he kills it at the combine so i hope he can be had on day 3. He would bring that toughness and fearlessness to our secondary that is needed. I remember last year when Wilcox had that huge hit on Beckham Jr. and it got the entire defense fired up. We need more of that. Shook Beckham Jr. for the rest of the game too. kept his head on a swivel looking for Wilcox lol.

I wonder if Justin Hardy still not having a break out year for Atlanta has hurt Zay's draft stock.
I know hes great on special teams (just as Dwayne Harris was for us) and Atlanta is very deep at WR, but I thought Hardy would've produced more than he has
