(@Alexander... I get it that there's a rule. I just am questioning why the rule is the rule.)
Football, year round would be nice!!!! Do it Texas HS style. Spring ball in April and May and 7 on 7 leagues all spring and summer!!Just a general comment/observation, and please forgive me if this has already gotten batted-around somewhere else... is there some reason why the early entries shouldn't be allowed to participate in this game? I don't really get the purpose of excluding them since they've already made a decision they can't rescind.
Then, too, as someone who loathes this little period between the end of football season and the start of baseball spring training... sign me up for the expansion of this whole thing... give me 4 teams broadly connected with the West, Midwest, Northeast and Southeast regions... every team plays every other team round robin over the course of 3 Saturdays... beginning with this one, then another in 2 weeks (skipping Super Bowl weekend), and the third in 3 weeks.
Benefit: More extensive action means more familiarity with teammates, and better basis for evaluation; more teams means more draft-worthy players getting more opportunity to show what they can do. And for draft nuts like me, all of that is just red meat.
(Aside: Fwiw, just want to compliment the apparent decision to allow this thread to live on this forum... maybe just me, but I'm one of those who hate having to surf different forums.)
Part tradition. Part just simple math. What would be the point of opening it up to true Juniors? Most of them wouldn't play anyways as some hope they can sneak through evaluations.(@Alexander... I get it that there's a rule. I just am questioning why the rule is the rule.)

I didn't know they had football in Utah!! Hmmm, learn something new everyday! Lol, Salud!!I'm sitting out here in my house in Utah afraid that one of Allen's errant throws is going to crash through my living room skylight.
Injury for one. A lot of these kids think they are better than they are and don't necessarily want to compete. You even see it at the Combine. And even accepting that "most wouldn't play anyways" as completely valid, what is the point of not? That's my question.
Allen will be Uncle Rico a few years from now if I am putting money on it.I'm sitting out here in my house in Utah afraid that one of Allen's errant throws is going to crash through my living room skylight.

They just mentioned the Davenport kid from UTSA. He is hot right now.
I wonder what Dallas thinks there. I am willing to bet they don't take a DE high. Especially not in the first.Don't hear much about UTSA in my world but this guy looks like he can play - can't have too many pass rushers these days.
