Sensabaugh Very disappointing

I don't know what the coaches saw in Sensabaugh to give him an extension, but he NEVER makes any plays. He is the Anthony Spencer of the secondary, except worse. Always 2 steps late covering anything. The corners are always on islands because he never gets over in time to make any plays. It is so disappointing. Anyone else notice this? In watching games over and over again, I see so many times where he is either late to play or not doing anything productive. At least McCray makes a lot of nice open field tackles, don't see anything in Sensabaugh besides average in everything

Sensy played pretty well last year. This year he has not been playing as well.

Because he isn't getting any picks, like the rest of defense....he sucks.

Awesome....this Whole D sucks outside of Lee.....release em all.

Other than Int's Sensy is not a problem, just stop

he's not good.

the cowboys have a desperate need at safety.its been 15 years since we had a good pair.

He hasn't been good for 2 years, when we used to give him all of those 1 year contracts. He's a liability now, still fairly athletic though.

The contract was another dumb move by Jerral, but it's actually team friendly, we could let him go and lose little. Not really a big deal. It does suck to have 2 sucky safeties though.

Sensabaugh played good for the first 1/4 of the season last year, then he tapered off back into an average guy. I didn't understand the extension either, when is this team going to get a real safety

i look forward to the day sensabaugh is gone. i think safeties can set the tone for the defense. ed reed has done it for baltimore and earl thomas is doing it for seattle now. sensy is neither physical nor a playmaker, he is the definition of a jag.

Yes I've noticed it too. Is there a softer safety in the NFL? This guy cant tackle, cant hit and forces zero turnovers. He rarely is in position to help on a deep throw. I was really hoping that Barry Church and Matt Johnson were going to be our best safeties this year. Oh well there's always next year.

I agree. Another puzzling, desperation siging by Jones. Eerily similar to horrible safety signing mistake we did a few years ago. Not a bigg hitter, not a ball hawk. This secondary has zero interceptions this year. Its unthinkable with Carr and Claiborne back there.

Who on this defense is making any plays other than Lee? Ware maybe. That's IT.

I'm not trying to say that the defense has been terrible, but it's not as if Sensy is the weak link.

He is a JAG out there...and he can't tackle worth a damn. People keep saying he's "solid." George Teague was solid. Sensabaugh is the definition of Just A Guy. He runs around like he's the Hunchback

I agree with you. I got into this subject during the offseason when I took this position in a thread. I was surprised at the posters that labeled him as above average and defended his play. I see him as a jag and the rest of the NFL must agree. His services was not wanted by other teams when he hit free agency.

Exactly. Sensabaugh isn't anywhere near the top of problems with this team. Convenient scapegoat, but nowhere near the top 10 issues

1. Jerruh
2. Garrett
3. No Discipline/Accountability/Leadership/Lack of Preparation
4. O-Line
5. D-Line
6. I'm pretty sure safety/secondary play has to come in around here

They have to pay a starting safety at least the average of the market for JAGs at the position which is more than they're worth.

We have had so many holes at more critical positions we haven't been able to go after a top safety. Pass rusher, SOLB, and S are the top positions needed so I wouldn't be surprised to see us try to find a S in the middle rounds again.

Wasn't saying he is. But he is a weak link. No denying that. One of issues on this team is we need more playmakers on d and he is at a playmaking position. Does he ever do anything that makes u think "wow I'm glad we have him?" I didn't think so

Not top 10? Huh? You watching same games I am?
