serious question here..

can anyone help me figure out why i can't get into chat for the past several months?

i've been a member here for some years now and never had a problem at all.

now when i try to get in it says the following :

load : class client not found.


i have windows xp and have the latest download of java installed as well.

i would appreciate any help....i like to go into the chat with you all during draft weekend and gamedays.......it just isn't working for me anymore.

It is either a Java, IE (or whatever browser you are using) or windows problem.

I am pretty sure it is not something you have done to get banned from Chat so it is nothing like that going on.

Just sounds like a tech issue on your end.

If you use firefox maybe you should try using IE instead (I USED to have that problem with the chat and firefox). If you are using IE maybe you should try firefox instead.

Make sure you have all of the latests downloads for not only Java but your windows operating system and also your browser (whichever browser you are using).

control panel - add/remove programs.
remove all instances of java.

www.java.com - install latest version.

add-on chat (makers of the chatroom) updated recentely and use a lot of new java stuff so you need a clean version of the latest one.

Opera
Netscape (do they even have netscape anymore).

Try downloading Firefox and installing it.

Come here and try to go into the chat room.

It will probably prompt you to load java, I am not sure if it will share with IE so if it says you need java download it in firefox from the update bar.

Maybe it will let you in without having to do so if it was an IE problem.

Can't hurt to try. If you don't like firefox you could just use it for chat this weekend and uninstall it.

However from my exp most people that try firefox wind up using it long term over IE.
