Seven games in a row

Heck the odds probably say you probably win at least one game out of those six even if by pure luck.

The odds much increase significantly when you factor in a team that was 12-4 last year, and was expected to have a pretty good defense this year.

Gabbert. Blaine Gabbert won a game as a back up QB, with a RB that was just signed off the street, just traded away their starting TE, with a first year HC, with a team that lost many star players in the off season.

It can be done, there's always an excuse for losing. Those excuses just aren't good enough to justify where this team is at.

I'm the first to admit that this goes way deeper than Tony Romo. But I honestly believe that he covered up for so many of this teams problems last year with his play. Just look at this years games. 6 of the 7 losses, the Cowboys had the lead in the 4th qtr. If Romo had been playing, I have no doubt they would have pulled out victories in 4-5 of them. All the defensive/coaching problems would still be there, but no one would be talking about it because we would be at 7-2 or 6-4. It's too bad, because I'm sure we all thought this team was much better than it really is. Losing Romo just put a spotlight on just how bad they are.

They mentioned a stat last night that was pretty staggering about the Patriots being something like 100-9 with a lead in the 4th quarter

I think we've got that many blown 4th quarter losses the last two seasons

This coaching staff does not know how to finish games

They don't know what plays, players or philosophy to use in order to finish games. Just give it to Romo and hope for the best and even then it's usually broken plays and flukes that win it in the end

Unfortunately that's the case in too many games. Offense struggles, looks anemic until Romo goes into no-huddle mode. Scrap the game plan, scrap the traditional play calling and turn Tony loose to play sandlot football. That has little to do about coaching and more about his natural ability and instinct. Back-ups will struggle when that is a large part of the past success.
