The Rams and Bengals are about big plays. The Chiefs were about big plays The Bills are a pass first offense. I could keep going but the point is you can easily be pass first and compete for a Super Bowl.

Terrible throw or bad route. Either way Zeke catching passes out of the backfield is inconsistent at best. It would be nice if they could get Zeke in some space every once in a while so he isn’t just a battering ram.

The Chiefs are far from a ball control offense. Mahomes is the closet thing in the NFL to a gunslinger. The same is true of the Bills and it is certainly true of the Rams. These are big play home run offenses that are not about controlling the ball. The Saints were a ball control offense. The Packers are largely a ball control offense (though Rodgers can throw the big pass with the best of them) but you do not need to be that to contend.

I don't give Emmitt's opinion a ton of weight. He was a great running back and an absolute warrior. That doesn't make him a great offensive mind or a great strategist or tactician. In fact, based on his TV work, I think he brings about as much to the table analytically as Jerry and I give his opinion on this about as much consideration.

Utilizing the run game is not an indictment on any qb. It's basic football and has been for 200 years.

In my opinion THIS team with this coaching staff and this QB can not accomplish what these other teams can because of superior coaching and/or quarterback or both. That's why the strong run game is mandatory for success with Dallas.

Not so much mandatory with the others mentioned.

But that's just my opinion.
