It is funny you mentioned that. I was talking the other day with some friends about McCaffrey not getting as hurt as often since he got to San Francisco in comparison to his last couple of seasons with Carolina. His level of effort has not dipped one iota since becoming a 49er in my opinion. It make me almost believe he was saving some wear-and-tear on himself IF the opportunity presented itself of him going to another team.
Why is he considered injury prone? he has only hurt really missed games in 2yrs of the 7 he's been in the league... no he is an ironman but does that really insinuate injury prone...? Carolina shipped him because they are rebuilding and C-MC will hit the RB wall just like all that proceeds him...

This game is being wildly overthought.

It comes down to whether or not Dallas can exploit SF cramming the box by throwing the ball over the top. This, not the Patriots, should be the Cooks game, because he is the vertical matchup advantage against Lenoir/Ward. Dallas will beat themselves - as they have in the last two meetings against SF - by being too cautious and conservative early.

Dang he's just trying to scare us Dallas fans. Zack sat out of training camp & we've been playing musical chairs up front. I hope the players aren't swayed by coach speak. Spouting on how it takes the offensive O-line so long to gel is meant just for us.

Sure that's the ticket. I feel better now...I think.

I'm actually looking forward to this game. We know they're a good team. I love when we play "edge of your seat" match-ups.

Does not mean he can't be rattled. If our D comes to play like the 3 wins. They can do that.

SF whipped the Steelers who's defense is not all that great, nor is their offense.
They could have lost the Rams game, and even the lowly Giants gave them a tough game., and the Cards game was closer until the end, with a garbage score or 2.
I'd like to think you are right. In the one game we lost we had no turnovers and that made the red zone deficiency quite apparent. Also they scored on us in like 5 straight drives or something. So just concerns me. We get turnovers we win for sure.

I know I'm a minority here but I'm feeling confident about this game. Just think if our defense shows up.......we win. The thing about playing the 49ers is you're not just playing their top offense/defensive players but also one of the best offensive mines in the game. You have to beat him, as well as his team.

Kyle Shanahan: Cowboys’ speed on defense makes them a huge challenge

Published October 3, 2023 10:21 AM

On Monday, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan was asked to explain what makes the Cowboys such a big challenge.

“Just how their pass rush — how fast they play,” Shanahan told reporters. "[Defensive coordinator] Dan Quinn is as good as anyone at the D-line. Just in general, I think one of the biggest tests for every team in the NFL is how much better you get each game because the lack of practice [that offensive linemen] get in the offseason compared to what it takes to be ready, it’s just not enough. No one’s ever there in Week 1, especially up front. Run blocking, pass blocking, you need a lot more reps of that to get better as a unit. That’s why it’s so important that in these games, the more games you can stay healthy and the more games you can play together, usually you get better throughout the year.”
Parsons is just too damn quick for an olineman to handle. Stand him up on the nose of an olineman, and he has just way too much lateral agility for them to handle.

Defense ain't our problem guys. They did a admirable job in those last two outings against SF. And they're even better now.

Nah, it's the offense that has failed to deliver on each occasion. So let's focus on them.

i was insinuating the opposite of injury prone. Please re-read my last sentence that was quoted. Also, I have disagreed with the widely held definition of 'injury prone' for a very long time and have posted such on the forum many times in the past.

Take it from an offensive genius about the importance of the Oline in not only health but continuity playing together.

You forget. The defense gave up 175 yards rushing and 2 TD's in the first loss. They were the #1 culprit in why we lost. Offense was the bigger issue last year no question.

probably.

They were probably scared when we played them in the playoffs last year too.

Everyone is ALWAYS scared of us.....even when they are beating our azz.
Exaggerate much ? They did not Beat our ***, it was a one score game both times so yeah, it's likely they were worried about us until the last minutes

You stay ahead of the chains on both sides of the ball and on defense make Purdy make plays from the pocket and tackle.. they do this they will be fine..Like to see Dak get out of the pocket and make plays ....Im guessing the DC is wanting to "Stay ahead of the chains and make Dak make plays from the pocket.." crazy stuff, yes i get some here will think this is some crazy "Dak only" plan but news flash its basically 100% of the DC's plans every week in the NFL...
