Three Options just pick one that you would rather have happen.

1) Make Playoffs, Win one Playoff Game and resign Wade.
2) Make Playoffs, Lose Playoff Game and hire Shanahan.
3) Miss Playoffs and hire Shanahan.

I actually have mixed emotions between 1 and 2, but in my heart
feel Wade can't take them very deep in the Playoffs, so I'm leaning
towards Option 2. I personally just hate to see Shanahan go to the
Commanders but do think thats where he is going if not to Dallas.

I just hope there's no gray area. Either we make it to the Super Bowl or we miss the playoffs all together. I dont see any reason for Wade to stay unless we make a significant run in the playoffs.

why pick 1 of those 3 options when there are clearly more scenarios that can play out?

4) Cowboys win superbowl and keep wade

sign me up for that one

Shanny is a lateral move IMO. Granted he's more offensive minded, but overall a lateral move nonetheless. 'Catch17' is right.....Red is waiting in the wings: for better or worse.

I think long term the worst thing to happen to Dallas was the win in KC. They lose that game and I think Wade is gone. Now they win through talent but lose through coaching. Wade can't compete with the leagues better coaches. It really bothers me to see the team make so many repeated stupid mistakes. It bothers me when I hear players call the coach by his first name.

I'm thinking none of the above.

How about 5...

5) Cowboys win Superbowl and fire Wade.

Why fire a coach that led you to a Super Bowl victory?

I would just as soon win and have Wade back. Really not interested in rebuilding again. If Wade fails there may be no choice but I'm pulling for him and this team to get the job done.

I'm one of the few that probably wants Wade back for one more year (unless we completely choke last 2 games)

Continuity in systems/schemes is very important in the NFL.

We drafted 4 LB's and have only used one this year.

I think our pressure and turnovers on D have the chance to go up a lot next year.

Add some solid DB's to that mix.

This team is far more mature and has more leadership than teams of recent memory have had in Dallas.

They really seem to like Wade, are in his corner and are united.

This is a performance based business...If wade deserves another year he will get one..if not he wont..I am confident Jerry and Stephen (lol) will make the right call on this one.

If the Players truly back Wade tha they'll show it by playing hard here at the end and to start Playoffs. In my view thats been the problem they are too much up and down in their performances, which tell me no one is being held accountable for mistakes. This comes back to the Coaches.

Do you really think after what we have seen the last several year that should we win the Super Bowl, it would because of Wade? It will be in spite of Wade.

Plus we did it once before and won another Super Bowl.

Yeah, Wade had no influence on how well we defended the Saints on Saturday. Or for the rest of the season for that matter, this team is giving up like 17 or 18 PPG...

Wade is a great DC. He is a terrible HC. It's that simple. There is nothing wrong with that, he is what he is. But he is not someone I have confidence in for the long haul.

I'd have to disagree and 'should' plays no part in what is.[Edit: I see I read your first sentence wrong. Ignore this part.]
If this team can go all the way through and win I think it will be in large part a collective victory.

If you're referring to the Super Bowl under Barry, the circumstances couldn't be more different. Barry inherited seasoned professionals, acclimated to winning. Wade inherited a lot of immaturity - talent not withstanding - and the necessity to rebuild. Not the players, but the game plan, which is nothing at all resembling the type of team which was left by Bill Parcells.

I see no reason not to credit the coach for a team being what it is.

I am growing to like Wade

Really the only issue I see it, if we do happen to win the superbowl, are the players going to be able to carry him off the field? I am not sure they can
