Seems like it's the one move the kid's got going for him after getting a sack against the Rams on one.

Here's from Monday's practice:

This offensive line usually doesn’t have its problems picking up stunts, but during practice it happened a couple of times. One of the better-executed stunts involved Cedric Thornton, Shaneil Jenkins and Justin Durant. Thornton and Durant went hard inside to their left, attacking La’el Collins, Travis Frederick and Zack Martin. There was such a push that it knocked Collins off balance and he could not recover. The move allowed Jenkins to come around with a free run at Tony Romo untouched -- which would have resulted in a huge hit in the middle of the pocket.

Whoops, spelled his name wrong in the thread head.

That's how he got his sack in the game. He's fast for a big man. They should work that from all different positions, IMO.

Can already see the D being much more aggressive than before

Hey, Dwight Freeny made a nice career out of his spin move. Don't we all have our own "go to" move in a particular sport? Whatever it is it just seems to work for you, players have a hard time stopping it so you keep going for it. I hope these stunts continue to work Shaniel and the defensive line because just when you think they're gonna do it again - whoops.

Won't be easy for Jenkins to make the team as a 3-tech DT, as Tyrone Crawford and and Collins have 2 roster spots wrapped up there. My guess is he is a practice squad guy, unless he can find a way to beat out Jack Crawford. I am intrigued by Jenkins though.

I agree. We get excited any time one of our DLs gets a sack because we're not used to seeing it. His sack was nice, but his production otherwise didn't stand out enough for me to believe he'll make the team. However, we're also not so set at end that he couldn't do something to bump off someone like Russell. We'll see how it progresses.

He might be tested to see if he has the "quicks" to swing over to DE, at least, until Lawrence gets the nod to return from suspension.

Well that would definitely earn him a roster spot, but from what I have heard they tried him at DE and he didn't look great. It was once they moved him to DT that he began to show some flashes.

As has already been speculated, there may not be room within a crowded DT lineup, unless one of the incumbents moves over instead. In that event, it could possibly be one of the Crawford boys getting the nod. I'm sure many different options will be tried between now and the final cuts.

Which is great because Marinelli D scheme uses a lot of stunting and movement to generate pressure with basic 4 DL.

Jenkins runs 6'3 275lbs - about the same size as Hardy so he could prob be used at DT in passing downs but is a little light against the run. Hope he continues his progress at DT, we could always shift Jack Crawford over to DE
