I hope this young man hears his named called tonight. Got to admire his grit. It helps he is a pretty dam good football player.

Go Cowboys!

I watched him at the combine. He excelled despite his deficiency. But I initially wrote him off because of his missing hand. Then I started watching his tape and I would be more than happy if he was on the cowboys. Dude can ball!

With our needs I can’t see us addressing LB again until the 4th, I’d love him there but I think he’s going before 50

I would draft him for depth and special teams (and for when Sean lee gets injured again.). Plus in 2 years, he can start when Sean Lee slows down.

It's hard for teams to get over the hand. Besides that, he's too small to play linebacker. He'll get destroyed by bigger offensive linemen.
Maybe he can switch to safety. Running a 4.38, he can be the fastest free safety we've seen in a while, if he can master the switch.

This guy has a motor. And he won’t quit on plays

He will miss tackles, but I see him as a disrupter. A guy that can cause RBs or QBs into mistakes

He is depth, but I’d gladly take him over Wilson or the other LBs on the roster right now

I see Wilson as a guy that can backup at all three LB positions right now, which would let Griffin be a special teams demon as a rookie and a really good backup down the line.

I think the thing that's really dropping Griffin is he's such a square peg. Dude is really just a pass rusher, but no pass rusher's made it at 220 before. He's a backup 3-4 rush 'backer only, which rules out about half the teams in the league from drafting him.

I thought he'd go in the third personally, and with the board really starting to empty out, I doubt he lasts long in the fourth.

No. He is too much of a liability being one handed. At some point he's not going to make an important tackle or drop an interception.

Anthony Hitchens had 1 INT in four seasons here, picks are a small part of a LBs game. Griffin has 4.4 speed, he makes up for the missing hand by getting in position faster. And as a 4th round pick, if he never becomes a full time starter but is only a spot starter and ST ace he will still be a valuable pick.
