I think what he's saying is that he believes Will will be the GM. SJ will hold the purse strings, obviously, but McClay will make the personnel decisions...Fingers crossed!

Jerry, like me, is getting really old to be running anything. But Stephen is not that young. He will be 62 this year. No way he can handle all the hats of Owner, President and GM. But he is just vain enough he may try. But IMHO he is not very good at his job currently. Added responsibility would likely be an even more clown show.

I disagree - they have always been very good at managing the cap - the problem is they are very bad at contracts which means they have to get super creative moving money around.

Just look at daks stupid contract and the 90mm number that's coming up...contract is horrendous but they will get creative and move the money around.

The guy who is now stealing the mics will take a backseat to the empire his dad made? I can see McClay getting a larger voice and or role, but I can't see McClay ever being in the "drivers seat" when it comes to acquisition.
