Watching those clips of his missed kicks in practice, the first thing that came to my mind was.."wow, he sucks".

I know he made a couple during the game, but those were just a few yards away from being extra point's. Basically gimmie kicks (unless your name is Jose Cortez)

He just scares me.. and I have a feeling he may cost us a game or two down the road.

He's just keeping the seat warm I believe. His kickoffs aren't very good.

He can miss as many as he wants during pratice, if he makes them during the game, I am happy.

Yhea I was feeling the same way.

They only showed what, 4 kicks? Hopefully he made all his other kicks, and they just showed the ones he missed. I have no idea how many he would kick pregame.

I dont think its something to worry about...I have a strong feeling we'll see a bunch of kickers paraded in and out of here over the next few days...

I'll be surprised if he's still the kicker when we go to Philly

I would be interested to see how some of you guys handle being brought in mid-season by America's Team cuz their kicker scked and asked to help carry the team if you have too as a rookie!! Man, in warm ups the guy was prolly about to shart himself......he looked good in the games, he looked relaxed, and confident, and he looked like a kicker should. His kickoffs werent greaet, but I'd rather lose 10 yards of field position than 3 or 6 points that couldda won the game.......especially with our defense.....

Typical, haven't seen this kid kick more than 21 yards and people are already ready to cut him. Kickoffs, he didn't get them in the endzone, but they were all between the 1 and the 20. What's wrong with that?

I realize that, but he didnt miss any of them. Cortez missed a couple "chhip shots".......give the kid a chance, the glass is half full, he made all his kicks so far........no need in writing him off before he gets a chance to prove he can kick. I know we as Cowboy fans have very high standards for anyone who wheres the uniform, but we know nothing about this kid, so it isnt fair to exclude or denounce him before he has a chance to do anything!

Morton Anderson is out there and he said he's ready and available,,, with the bye week this is a perfect time to trot in a few vets (I say take Mort).

He was better than Cundiff on kickoffs thats for sure!

BP says his leg is not strong enough on kick offs...gives up to much field position.

why don't we just tell him to pretend that he's kicking AGAINST us. Then he'll hit every field goal ever attempted, even from 50+.
Or maybe we should just go find a kicker that has kicked against us and have them pretend...

Too early to tell, and I wouldn't use practice as the benchmark for a first time starter.

Shoot, Nugent was the best kicker in the NCAA last year and he's hitting like 60%. A lot of people are all hot and bothered over Rackers, but he wasn't exactly stellar his first couple of years.

You can't judge the kid by one game, at least in my opinion. They kept him around and passed on others because they saw something, even if we haven't so far.
