I think Philly goes 6-10

What say you?

and your basing that on what?? ps game 1?
They scored more points than any other team in game 1
Dallas had lowest # of points scored aside from jets and rams.
In these games that doesnt mean much but it means something.

To me Philly is hard to predict they could be real good or real bad.
The thing is though both giants and skins look real bad again, so both Dallas and philly will benefit from that.

The div race is between dallas and philly.
They should both get 4 wins from those other 2 , so the dallas philly games will have weight to them.

It means nothing unless you sustain a serious injury which we didn't.

I think the Eagles are going to be much better than some around here think. I think overall Cowboys homerism and just general dislike of the Eagles is clouding rational thought.

Their front seven is very, very good and gave us all we could handle. They maybe improved that front seven if Kiki Alonso is as good as he was a few years ago. Their secondary stunk and while I don't think Maxwell is Deion re-incarnated, he's much better than Williams and Bradley Fletcher.

Offensively, obviously a lot depends on Bradford, but if he's healthy, I think they'll score a **** ton of points again. They are loaded at TB.

I get the Chip jokes and I understand it's annoying as **** that he's been dubbed some genius before doing anything in this league, but he's clearly a very good offensive coach, at a minimum.

I think it's unwise to think the Eagles are going to be a bust this year.

1) QB is a uncertainty. That's the kiss of death right there.
2) WRs are not proven.
3) Maxwell was grossly overpaid. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be like Walter Thurmond III who was the last Seattle Seahawk DB to hit last year's free agency market.

Seattle paid Thomas, Chancellor, and Sherman.

They let guys like Browner, Thurmond and Maxwell go. There was a point in time where Jeremy Lane looked decent.

I obviously don't think highly of Maxwell. I think he's a solid CB who played with the BEST secondary in the league.

philthy troll sighting. Anyone that thinks Bradford will last let alone be all that is delusional.

He has had them with back to back 10 win seasons.

However he keeps getting rid of the core players and moving through people. So here is what I hope happens.

I hope they fall flat on their faces. He gets canned and when they look at the roster they realize they gave all of the better players away and have
a walking wounded QB.

philly is hard to analyze, no telling what will happen with them. Their QB situation is not good.
But if they run enough they might get around that.

Who cares what they paid Maxwell? They did overpay. But his paycheck doesn't somehow translate to how he plays on the field. In other words, do you think Philly is better at CB with Maxwell or with either Cary Williams or Bradley Fletcher? I agree as I said in my first post that I don't think he's some stud CB. But he's certainly better than the two bums they had last year IMO.

Where did I say definitely that Bradford will last?

Your post typifies the irrational Eagles hate people have that clouds rational analysis of their team. If (note that word) Bradford is healthy (and it's not 100% certain he'll get hurt again), I suspect they will be a real pain in the *** this season for us.

I was thinking about that. Maybe it's the college mind set.
keep rebuilding every year as you lose players after 4 years.

What they paid will eventually catch up. Also, Yes, Maxwell was better than those guys. Do I think the Eagles' CB corp got better? It's Nolan Carroll starting at the opposite side and they let Brandon Boykins, who I thought was their best CB, go to the Steelers. It's not clear cut. We know nothing about Rowe.

Carroll is no worse than Fletcher who was terrible.

Maxwell is better than Cary Williams.

And Thurmond can't be much worse at S than Nate Allen who was dreadful.

I think there is a lot of heads in the sand around here about the Eagles. Note, nowhere did I say that I think they are better than us. But this talk of 6 win seasons is laughable. I suspect they'll be right with us for the division all season long.

Cary Williams is starting at Seattle. Do you really think it will make a difference?

I do.

I think Seattle, given their overall defense and secondary can take on a guy like Williams and not lose a ton. In Philly, Williams had to be the guy and he clearly couldn't. I don't think Maxwell is Revis or anything like that, but I think he's better than Williams and right there that's an upgrade for them.

Again, don't confuse my comments thinking that I think Philly is a top flight, better than us team. I don't. But the idea that they are going to fall on their face seems more wishful thinking than reality.

The Birds are a MASH unit. Can they get healthy? And if so then can they stay healthy? I have no problem with Chip or his offense. I think the Eagles have a legit DL and the LBers are solid. Their secondary still needs to prove they are better. They suck at the most important position. Seems many Philly fans are banking on blind hope that somehow Bradford will just be this awesome QB. He was decent in college. He has been terrible in the NFL. I like their TEs. RBs are good when healthy. Their WRs are unproven. Lastly their OL is unproven with all the turnover this year.

If everyone if the NFCE plays to their best and injuries are not a factor then Dallas wins. How likely is that? 0.

However the Eagles need more to go right for them to win the division over Dallas.

The Giants need more to go right than Eagles or the Cowboys to win the division.

The Commanders...lol. Flat out need a miracle this year. I do think they are on the right track to improving though and will be tough in a couple of years if they stay the course.
