Shedeur Sanders’ draft stock has slid a little bit and 6 is the “earliest” he could be drafted, according to @TonyPauline

“Teams are cooling on Shedeur Sanders for a number of reasons. The first being that Sanders showed little to no improvement in his game last season and made some poor choices. People are also a little turned off by the antics since January.”

No surprise at all..........he and Deion have been on a PR tour since January trying to sell him as the best QB. Put another way, trying to force some team's hand and it's turned off some people.

I read that some NFL GMs think he is a second tier prospect in the same class as Ewers and Milroe and a couple of other QBs.

This is how I see it too. I watch Sanders about5 times in 2024 and I never saw what all the fuss is about. I think could be this years Trey Lance. I think if he wasn't Deion's kid he would not be mentioned in the first round of the draft.

This is the Deion effect. It will make him a target for fair or unfair criticism in the pros, too.

I think he's going to be a good player but I would certainly be wary of investing a top 5 pick. I think he'll have a Kirk Cousins type career.

I think he can be a good player but that depends on how hard he's willing to work and earn it. Right now I see a cocky kid who's an average QB riding his dad's coattail and needs a lot of work.

Cousins is actually my comparison. Accurate and can read defenses well, but doesnt have a any elite traits and could be mediocre in the redzone. Thats what killed Cousins against winning teams in the NFL. His record is historically bad

I was amused by all those here that were touting him as something special. Never saw it myself.

Lance has wheels and arm strength that Sanders can only dream about.

This is meh. Some team is going to get him early. It always happens folks.
Maybe you are right but one mock has him dropping to 29th to the Browns coming back into the 1st. Interestingly this same has them taking Hunter at 2, so they will be NFL teammates.

I saw him play in person once this year vs Texas Tech…he’s good but not great.

He’s accurate but he doesn’t have great arm strength. He’s not particularly mobile although he does stay cool under pressure. He gets away with throws in college that will be interceptions in the NFL.

I see Sanders as a decent NFL QB somewhat like Jameis Winston. May become a starter at some point but will throw too many picks. I definitely don’t see him as a QB that can lead an NFL team very far on his own. He didn’t do that even in college.

You should watch again, Ewers and Milroe can't throw nearly as well as Sanders. He has some issues with pocket awareness but he can sling the ball.

Accuracy, ability to make all the throws, and ability to read defenses are the most important QB traits IMO

You can win with a QB like that if you put the right resources around him

Yea, but Lance would be throwing the ball over the proverbial barn. The Pray and Spray technique of throwing the ball doesn't work in the NFL. The QB for Alabama about to inter the NFL is Trey Lance part 2. Ungodly inaccurate every 3rd throw.

PS. Sanders is a tough SOB, and he has enough arm strength and is accurate and throws with anticipation. That said, he is far from elite. He might be Baker Mayfield light. Baker has more armstrength for sure.
