Shefter comment on NFLTA

Maybe someone who saw it can post what he said exactly, but I was changing channels and caught the tail end of Dukes, Shefter and Woodson going over some Cowboy stuff...Shfter seemed to say "another WR might end up in Dallas after June 1, but it isnt Chad Johnson"

is that what he said and if so, were they mentioning any names?

It was just more roundtable speculation about the 'boys need for another wide receiver. One of them mentioned Chad Johnson and June 1..and that was Schefter's response.

Didn't see the whole Cowboys segment, but I did see that... They were talking about how talented this team was, and Eisen was strongly hinting (almost saying outright) that Chad Johnson would be cut after June 1 and could be a Cowboy. Shefter came back with what you saw, that there might be a vet WR, but it wouldn't be Chad. No other names were mentioned.

Just seems like there's been so much Roy Williams (Detroit) to Dallas chatter pre-draft that it's probably going to get to get done eventually. We added a 3rd and 4th pick in the next draft which is certainly more firepower. Detroit should be in a hurry to get Roy under contract since this is his last contract year if they want him next year--see how quickly Jerry wanted to get deals done with Newman and Barber. I expect Roy to be a Cowboy and by the way, watch Jason Taylor go to the Skins. I feel strongly about those two items. Other than that, hope the BOYS stay healthy. That's my only offseason wish. Fingers crossed!!!

I caught the same thing. Eisen was talking Chad Johnson and I couldn't quite hear Schefter's comment but I took it as if he was saying No to Chad Johnson but another vet WR after June 1.

Sorry but I don't see Jason Taylor playing for the Skins unless they make a trade with the Dolphins. Taylor wants to end his career with a legit shot for a SB in this decade and that isn't the Skins.

Sorry but I don't see Jason Taylor playing for the Skins unless they make a trade with the Dolphins. Taylor wants to end his career with a legit shot for a SB in this decade and that isn't the Skins.

It's more likely he wants to end it in a big market town where he can make the rounds and be in the media, regardless of whether they are a contender or not.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Grandpa Al open his checkbook again and see Taylor land in California. Maybe even the 49ers.

I don't think Jason gives a crap about winning a Superbowl at this point. He's already said the thing he hopes to be remembered for is his "acting", more so than dancing or football.

I watched it Shefter did not say which WR he thought would end up in Dallas but they all seemed to think Chad would not be the one.

ESPN is talking about how Jerry is interested in getting Pacman in the mix at WR. That's probably what it was talking about.

I saw this and it made me very excited. Shefter is pretty reliable and he said it with an air of "I may know something that you dont"... as in, it certainly WON'T be chad but I have a very good "inside" idea of what receiver WILL land in Dallas.

I don't know how you got that out of it.......he was simply stating to Rich Eisen that Chad Johnson wasn't going anywhere. That we may trade for some vet WR, but it definitly is not going to be Chad Johnson.
