He didn't say cut -- the implication was that he'd be gone somehow, either cut or traded. My bad, if it makes that big a difference.

But there could be for a player they might want from Dallas. There are 2 sides to a trade and not always draft picks wanted.BraveHeartFan;2091043 said:Well if it's a legit vet, that would actually help, it's only going to be one of 3 players, tops.
Chad Johnson - Makes sense after June 1 to ease the cap hit on the Bengals.
Boldin - Makes sense for cap hit purposes and what not.
Roy Williams - This one doesn't really make sense as to why it has to be after June 1 cause there are no real cap implications with Roy.
I can't see any other Vet. WR out there who would be on the market after June 1, potentially.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Grandpa Al open his checkbook again and see Taylor land in California. Maybe even the 49ers.
I don't think Jason gives a crap about winning a Superbowl at this point. He's already said the thing he hopes to be remembered for is his "acting", more so than dancing or football.
If I had to guess, Crayton & Henry. They could be waiting for Jones to be reinstated first too.Zaxor;2091191 said:Okay lets look at where we are long at....
hmmm
TE, RB, CB, DL perhaps
so we trade who...Hannah/Curtis, Coleman, Ball, Bowen
I think they are decent depth players but I am sure the whole lot of them wouldn't bring in R. Williams
Henry, Canty, Roy, Spears...dang I would hate to part with just one of these guys but it may take 2 of them and some from the list above...
Ellis? that may hurt us more than help us
who or whom do you think they would give up to get R. Williams from Det.
Trading Crayton would make no sense. They just gave him a $6M bonus.Hostile;2091946 said:If I had to guess, Crayton & Henry. They could be waiting for Jones to be reinstated first too.
Hence why I said the Cowboys might be waiting until after June 1.Double Trouble;2091955 said:Trading Crayton would make no sense. They just gave him a $6M bonus.

Maybe it hasn't. As I said earlier, "if I had to guess."TheCount;2091995 said:The Cowboys have taken every opportunity possible to show that they want Patrick Crayton as a Cowboy, why would that change now?
