RIP George Jefferson

Edit, can a mod please fix the title. I left the "s" out of Hemsley.

I guess he really is moving on up to that de-luxe apartment in the sky...

Now watch, somebody else will have already said the exact same thing... LOL...

RIP, George, errr, Sherman...

What I find most odd about this is he lived in that craphole ghetto El Paso. :laugh2:

Tread lightly here, I still call El Paso home... along with about 11 jillion retired military...

Ha, I found that weird too.

I doubt weesie was waiting on him at the pearlie gates, I remember reading no one liked him in real life.

I was kind of surprised at that too

Did a comedy show with him last summer. Didn't get to meet him as I had to leave out as soon as I got off stage. Wish I had. RIP.

I kind of met him a few years ago in the Tampa airport. The skycap that helped him with his luggage was a real jerk. He was pointing him out to everyone. Mr. Hemsley was very kind and took pictures and shook hands. You could tell he wasn't happy with the skycap but was very nice to all the people anyway. I left him alone.

That's awesome. You can tell he was a humble type of cat. Sometimes famous folks overvalue their fame. Sherman Hemsley seemed like that was not an issue for him.

You could see he wished the guy hadn't done it but was cool about it. I don't know why some people just can't leave famous people alone when they are on their personal time. I know it's part of the fame but if someone is out having a meal with family leave them alone.
