I think he's grossly overpaid right now, and that we should encourage more honor, loyalty, and sacrifice from players who aren't all about the money.

Meanwhile Danny Snyder is negotiating with a 28 year old CB, to make him possibly the highest paid DB in football.

But seriously, no. Let him play it out under the tag. He's not a sure thing IMO and I wouldn't give him the money top 10 QBs are making nowadays.

No, dan Snyder is not Jerry jones. McCloughan is going after Norman, who would be our only big name free agent since McCloughan has taken over.

He is overpaid but they have to pay what they have to pay to go another year to see if he's legit or not. Either way the skins are taking 3Rd in the nfce this year if romo stays healthy.

This is the first time he's considered paying age a huge sum of money? Well then, you're probably good. I think things are definitely changing in WAS.

Cousins timed the market perfectly. The Sk*ns were smart to franchise him, but they're definitely overpaying for a year for the opportunity to see if he can play consistently. My guess is he plays well enough that you can't let him walk, but not well enough to justify the big contract he's going to get because he's the right combination of age and ability. They were smart to handcuff the RGIII trade, at least.

He plays better zone than man. Joe Barry plays alot of Zone....so yes he does. And if you were talking about Dan before 4 years ago, he was much worse than Jerry. But post 2012 Snyder, he isn't even close to Jerry.

Why would they rescind this offer? Who do they have that is better? What if he becomes elite?

Obviously you don't understand how contracts work. It was actually a 4 year $27.5 million dollar contract but in all reality it was a 2 year $14 million dollar contract. Yeah man, $14 million for 2 years is just so crazy for a guy coming off an 11 sack season. Nice try.

ouch 7 million a year for what 7 sacks over 2 years? he had 1 big year in dallas and you guys gave him his payday.. like they say players go to the Commanders to get paid and retire early..not to mention he got those numbers in a 4-3 as our 3 tech DT and you guys put him back in 3-4 lol.. good work there

Yeah because a DE in a 3-4 has 15+ sack seasons. Are you familiar the differences between a DE in a 4-3 as opposed to a 3-4? He was brought in to collapse the middle for us and have our OLB's provide the pass rush. And since when is $7 million per season a "payday"? Your having a real hard time today....walk away for a bit.

I know what he was brought in for, I saw what he did in a 3-4 for us.. I also know he was over 30.. paying an aging lineman an average 7 million per year isn't smart.. especially having a breakout year during contract year.. lol he pretty much did nothing for you guys..

I wouldn't say he did nothing for us. Did he earn his $7 million per season....probably not. But come on man, let's not act like this was a blockbuster Brandon Carr contract.
