Video: Should Dak Prescott be concerned with Joe Milton joining the Cowboys?

Yeah, Dak sucks.

He's only averaged as a top 10 QB every year, aside from his injury season ending years.
Sorry AC. At this point in his career, Dak could go 17-0, be a ALL-PRO and it wouldn't matter one bit. Not even a tiny little bit. It's all about post season with him.

He could walk on water for 17 weeks but if he spit the bit in the playoffs, the only thing people would ever remember is the playoffs.

The video that ends all debate of Dak Prescott vs Joe Milton
I watched the first 3:59. They did not state anything that has not been discussed already.

There was no debate to begin with. No one rarely debates these topics. People shall continue talking their viewpoints no matter whatever any 'side' summarily dismisses.

I will not get that 3:59 back. Almost wasted. That said, I was smirking throughout Emmanuel Acho's comments from the 3:06 through 3:59 marks.

What was so funny had nothing to do with Dak Prescott and Joe Milton. It had everything to do with 2016. Those posts will always be remembered summarily as:

"We finally have a quarterback who will not be injury-prone."

^ There are football fans who said that with their full chests repeatedly.

Everyone knows I do not agree with the commonly held and widely used definition of injury-prone based upon all my past comments--for any AND all athletes--unless specific anatomical variables (pre-existing or not) and/or simple physics are factors in said injuries. However, the sheer irony is never lost on me how Prescott became eventually and unfairly saddled with the same label he was proclaimed to be impervious of.

It is freaking hi-larious! The 2016 'team chemistry euphoria' nonsense will be the gift that will always keep giving. So, as I said, the entire 3:59 was not a complete waste of my time.

Thanks for sharing.

So sacrifice wins over stupid contracts.
Milton would have to light it up, stringing together win after win to keep Dak on the bench if he’s ready to return from an injury. Some fans here already seemed convinced Milton is better than Dak and is our QB of the future. They thought the same thing when we traded for Lance. lol

Dak will never be benched or demoted so long as Jerry or Stephen are running the team.

No, first of all Dak's money is mostly guaranteed, second Jerry just loves Dak and will never replace him with Milton unless Dak just totally falls apart, which is unlikely to happen.

Milton is a backup, pure and simple. He wouldn't have been let go for a 5th round pick if he wasn't....

Folks has anyone really followed Milton’s career? Ask a friend that follows Volunteers football. They will tell you Milton sucks. He looks the part but he does actually suck.

When Dak gets. injured, again. And Milton comes in and wins. Should Dak stay benched like Romo was.

Yeah if Milton reels off a bunch of wins then absolutely. Don't know how we'd work out the contract and move forward but if the future is now so be it.

I can see the Dak hate is over ruling logic.

I’m not sure Milton will even be the backup, he could be the 3rd QB aka developmental guy like
Trey Lance was.

Dallas could very well sign another guy to be the backup.

If Dak was a true teammate, and no reason why he should not be. He will take Milton under his wing and teach him.
I have not watched the video yet, maybe it is mentioned.

Dak has no reason to be concerned otherwise. If anything his contract and Jerry dictates he will be the starter.
No argument there.

Yeah, If I was making Dak money at my job, I wouldn’t be worried about anyone or anything, just being the best me I can be.

Dak sucks beyond belief. He’s literally a deer caught in the headlights during the post season and will not help this team advance no matter what he does in the regular season (even when he has a stacked roster).
All that being said Milton is “ Temu” Trey Lance. This team is circling the drain in a QB death spiral.

I started laughing at this video because of the absurdity of it. The discussion is about a 6’5, 220 QB who can throw the ball 85 yards and is our 3rd stringer. Dude, he’s our 3rd stringer. Can we at least wait till the preseason games before major speculation? I think since Dallas is a hot topic and Dak is a hot topic this is a discussion.

I’m not the hugest Dak fan but the only thing Dak should be looking over his shoulder at is injuries and Father Time. Realistically for 25 and 26, injuries will keep Dak off the field. IMHO

I’m a huge fan of this trade and a fan of Milton, more out of hope and intrigue, but he’s not winning the starting job. Milton will be our 3rd string emergency QB. Unless he just kills it in preseason then he’ll be 2nd string. IMHO

The only “debate” is:
1. Should we bring in a guy more talented than Grier in case we are in the playoff hunt and Dak misses 1-2 games?
2. If Dak misses 7-9 games and Milton wins 6 of them. Then the talk shows can debate if Dak should be worried.

I’m really excited about this trade and I got to admit it lit a fire of hope and excitement for this coming season that I didn’t have before. So I like the guy but when I think unemotionally, I feel in ‘25 he’ll be 3rd string emergency guy. I’m hoping he develops and in 2 years Milton gives us a reason to have a real debate. If that happens then this trade was a huge success.

Only thing Dak needs to worry about is not getting Injured.

That is about the only time Milton will get starting reps.
