Should Dallas go after Khalil Mack?

He is a useful NFL edge rusher, but he's no longer the dominant Khalil Mack of his prime. Two years younger and a better overall player than Von Miller.

Mack signed an $18M fully guaranteed one year deal with the Chargers. Far more than the $5.5M Miller got. The question is compensation and salary cap.

Like Miller, he isn't a long term answer. Considering the lack of draft picks next year, I'd be tempted to just wait and draft an addition to the defense. Unless you think the Cowboys can win the super bowl this year by adding him.

I'll just say he would provide real impact and not Joey Porter Jr. impact where he plays well and the defense still stinks.

If we dont find an edge rusher our defense is going to be terrible this year. Mack still has a couple strong seasons left in him. He can be retained, and probably be as productive as players making twice what he is. All for a pick that will likely amount to a backup
