I know Flo has a bum shoulder but he is playing with no emotion and is really struggling with speed rushers. With the NY pass rush would we be better with Free. At least he is healthy and maybe he cares a little. Just seems like Flo got paided and now does not care.

If Free and McQuistan aren't ready by now, then they aren't going to amount to anything anytime in the future.

Bottom line: Flo is stinking up the joint now. Get him out of there and try someone else. If the coaches can't see that now, they also need to go.

Flo wasn't as bad last week, I think the shoulder is getting better. Should be good to go like everybody else on this team after the bye week?

No Free shoudn't start and probably won't play. If Adams shoulder is still a problem they are not reporting it.

Apparently neither of them are considered good enough against top rushers to play. McQ is thought to have potential as a RT, but seems Houck wanted him to try guard. Free was supposed to have potential as a LT, but if he cannot handle speed rushers then its either RT or guard for him as well.

I disagree, I have seen him throw a ball during warmups.

He should start at quarterback.

If flo gets beat, free can not only pass but protect himself.

:)

I dont like Flo...he doesnt look like He cares about winning. I'm done talking about that overpaid BUM!.

I guess I don't understand. First you say Flo has a bad shoulder then you said he got paid and now he does not care. That doesn't make sense to me.

Flo has always struggled with speed rushers. That isn't new news.

With a bum shoulder how can you tell he does not care?

And for the record, Flo > Free.

If Free was so good he would have been playing for proctor and Jerry would have waited for Shanahan to cut Holland b4 sendind a draft pick. But here in Jerryton someone will come up with an excuse why Free is not playing!

He has never struggled this much....

how many left tackles don't struggle against speed rushers?

It's always a challenge. I agree. Flo can play better. Or he should be. Clearly his stinger caused problems. Unless they're not reporting it, that should be gone. In fact unless there is underlying pathology, it is gone.

My concern is he hasn't stayed in shape with stretching and aerobics. That will slow him down and he can't afford that at his size.

i dunno man. I think we need to put flo at guard. that would allow him to get his hands on people constantly . and not get beat on the edge :) since he wont be there. ... but then who at lt? kosier? davis? columbo?

The Hotel played much better last week, and I look for him to get even better this week.

If his shoulder is not a problem any more, it is Proctor you should be worried about.

Doug Free is not the future at LT for the Cowboys. The fact that Adams played through that shoulder and looked really bad, tells me all I need to know about Doug Free. Plus, the Vikings third teamer destroyed him. Free lacks the size and strength that Jason Garrett and Hudson H. want at that positon.

It just seems funny that every time a left tackle gets beat by a speed rusher the announcer says he struggles with speed rushers. Well duh.....

Maybe the better question is whether a two armed Free is better than an one armed Flozell.

I like one of the suggestions, slide Flo to LG and let Free man the LT spot. Coaches just have to figure out who the best starting 5 are, regardless of position and let them play. If Free is one of the best 5, then play him_Putting a TE on his side would also help out immensely.
