Should Eberflus be fired?

My meaning of my post. Asking if they really played better, because they gave up yards in a different way.
Cut down getting burned deep. But gave up longer drives because they could not stop them on 3rd down.

The question surely needs to be considered by the Cowboys. We as fans have no insight into how he’s doing other than the results on the field which have been abysmal. Is it mostly coaching or is it mostly the players? Without being there every day with the team and observing first hand, we as fans have no idea how he is with the players.

I’d be interesting to hear @Ranching thoughts on the topic.

hes not the one who did the drafting. hes also NOT the one who gave the contracts, and he knew it would not give results on his first year.

Is his defense sustainable? we dont know yet, what we do know is the players he has dont work as a unit.

I said it before, i ll say it again. give the coaching staff some time.

The Cowboys as is are NOT a playoff team. So what is anyone expectations? A complete turn around because you brought in new coaches? Insanity.

You may not like the defense, but one play by a player and all of a sudden you ll be saying "The NFL is going to poach our coaches" like the NFL did witih ScotT Linehan. remember that sweet sweet afternoon?

Eberflush doesn't bring in players. He has nothing to do with the lack of talent. This has Jerry and Son all over it. This is Football 101.

Now, if you want to talk about how putrid Eberflush is in regards to schemes and actually getting players to play, I totally agree. But after the Joneses actually make things right again with the roster

Sanborn and Murray are with ties to Eberflus. Both are killing us now

yes fire him and in off season hire Ken Norton Jr. he knows lufistou from ucla. he’s been coaching with cousin danny and used to coach with schotty

I do think once the guys get healthy the defense is going to be closer to middle of the pack. Bland and Diggs are both hurting and Overshown will cover up a lot of warts on the second level. And I thought the pass rush bothered Love a lot more this week than they did with Williams or Wilson. They were around him more.. Now maybe them being down three offensive linemen had something to do with that but hell we were down 3 starting offensive linemen too I think last night.. so they don't get that excuse.

It's has to run its course. As long as the players are giving effort you have to keep him. Finish with just 5 - 6 wins and you definitely have to move on (like with Nolan). Steve Spagnuolo (Chiefs DC) only lasted one year in New Orleans (2012)...and he is more heralded than Eberflus. Sometimes things just don't work out...for whatever reasons.

At this point, what could be worse than what we have? I believe team is ranked at 32, so any type movement the front office does is worth it.

33 allowed points per game average. Eberflus is not the answer. Even if the players aren't full starter quality, like it was pointed out, the amount he puts them in Zone compared to the rest of the league is telling. In the recent past, this defense has been better in man coverage than zone, yet he's insisting on his system of zone. Flush this turd. I've seen enough. Oh hey, guess what they were in the playoff game that GB stomped us? Zone.

Based on the pure fact we are ranked 32nd on defense in the league the answer is yes. If we stay at 32 moving forward then he should be gone during the BYE week.
