College has become such a big financial scam. It's unbelievable.

Most jobs don't need all of the education they require. You just need on the job training.

Education is important but I can't believe our society still buys into the current structure and all of the unnecessary requirements and unnatural teaching methods.

Giving a 18 - 22 year old the option to go 100 grand in debt and come out with a psychology or art degree should be illegal.

I somewhat agree. I like the idea of "higher education." College shouldn't be just about finding a job. If that's your sole interest, then go to trade school. College can make students "well rounded." However, it has the tendency to influence students with ideological agendas. And I do agree that it's a shame that people go into crazy amounts of debt in fields that they'll never be able to pay it back in. $50k in debt with an English degree might as well be $500k.

Maybe we need to teach people how to eat properly instead of PE.

I think PE is great until your about 14 years old. It's like a childs class and if you're already in sports then PE is just annoying.

What blows my mind is companies will actually hire someone they know won't be as good at a job as another person just because they meet their education requirements.

Also, people that get a job that requires a masters degree but the company won't pay them as much because they only have a bachelors even though they already know how to do the job.

Education is great but at what point do we start calling a scam a scam.

Tuition and all the other fee's that cost thousands of dollars a semester.. Come on.

It's as ridiculous as healthcare if not worse.

Plus, this is the information and technology era. If you know how to use a computer/google you're set.

Cracking open a book and being lectured is old, outdated, and not worth 1000's of dollars.
