Should Irving be a LDE or do we move him to the 3

It's just a dream X but I would love from left to right to be Irving POE Collins who ever the rookie RDE is would ( should) have a much easier time with those 3 to his left. I realistically can't see a rookie RDE giving us 12-15 sacks in year 1 I just cant see it I could be wrong.

I would be fine with Poe at 1-tech but I don't think the Cowboys would ever pay that kind of money to a 1-tech DT. I do remember him being one of the few players that gave Frederick problems. Poe does have more quickness and pass rush ability than most guys that size, but I still don't see it happening with the Cowboys.

Irving is, simply put, a utility d-lineman that requires development. His ultimate value is yet to be determined, although he shows great promise, aside from some degree of inconsistency.

Assuming we go with the cheap fix at Pass rush like usual we need to keep him at LE. If they get real about bringing some pass rushers still play him at LE w/ flexibility to move inside on certain plays like the Giants did their championship winning rushmen

If he is moved full time to DE I think he could make a good WDE because of his leverage and length

He might not be a bend guy but even if he gets stoned he can knock down and alter a lot of throws

I'm a huge Collins fan ( I wasn't when we drafted him ) How would a combo of Irvin and Collins look at the DT position. Or should we keep Irvin at the LDE spot.

Both. Find the mismatches by moving him between both spots.
