Why? when Manning is watching the game he is then a fan and like most fans around here they complain about different crews covering the game why should Peyton not express his opinion?

Well, I agree with him. Although Jaws is a very good analyst, Tony Kornheiser knows very little about the football and is all fluff and he ruins it for me.

I dont care for any of them really.... I dont like Korny but what I do like that he does is.... whenever Jaws says something totally ridiculous ie. "that Trent Edwards... he reminds me of Dan Marino".... Korny replies, "he does? are you sure you want to stand by that statement".... then Jaws says, "well maybe not"

poor example.... but I have seen Korny call his cohorts on stuff.... otherwise.... he rat like head is just annoying....

I agree, absolutely worthless. It is Jax vs Indy and he continually brings up Brady and the Patriots all game long. He knows less about football than most of the people on this board and I think the average fan.

While Jaws has some good insight he still sounds like he is doing single play analysis with Suzy Kolber. He just has no flow.

Just get rid of Kornhole, you only need 2 in a booth. When you add the 3rd you end up with these conversations that have nothing to do with the game.

I can't agree on that but then I saw MNF at it's best with Frank, Howard and Don. MNF tried to recapture that and in my opinion never could. For the most part though the 3rd wheel in the booth tends to lead these long winded conversations and they lose track of what is going on within the game. As for ESPN I think they would be better off with Trico and Jaws alone in the booth with Suzie doing the sideline reporting

I think MNF is still trying to bring back the glory days of its beginning with Cosell, Meredith & Gifford. Those 3 guys and the format they used made that show/game the only place to be on Monday night. Everybody but everbody watched that game. I loved the highlights shown during halftime of those games deemed important enough to see.

I know the world has changed but the current setup isn't working. As much as I don't like Theismann cause he's so much a homer, I almost want to beg for his return.

Anyway I'm totally on board with any criticism Manning makes which might get better crew on MNF down the road. Go Manning.

BTW: If I wanted a new crew, don't know who I'd got with but one of them would be Aikman. He'd be a great replacement for the original Gifford even though Troy wouldn't be doing play by play. Now we need a funny man with good NFL credentials--coach or player--who could play Meredith. Maybe Parcells? Still to be decided would be who takes Cosell's place. Has to be a fountain of sports knowledge, somewhat obnoxious, but with presence. Now maybe Parcells could take Cosell's place but then who replaces Meredith. Any ideas?

Only if they bring in LT to just sit beside Theesman and make him uncomfortable.

MNF seems to be turning their format into more WWE than NFL. When Dallas played Buffalo, I was in agony trying to make it through the intros into the atcual game. The players running down the starting line-ups are equally obnoxious. Jaws was a great addition, but the rest of it from beginning to end is just terrible.
